Thanks to everyone for the replies.
I don't create porn.
My professional work is in 2D. I’m an art director collaborating with some major companies. 3D is my hobby, and I hope to dedicate more time to it in a little over a year. Although I’m technically retired, my clients want me to stay on a bit longer. I’m fascinated by the idea of creating a microcosm inhabited by people, defined by buildings, and illuminated by light that I control myself. I’ve been drawing ever since I discovered that a round piece of plastic leaves a mark on paper, yet I have no desire to learn how to create models. That’s why DAZ Studio is the ideal tool for me; it provides the tools and assets for a rough draft. If you want to create something photorealistic, DAZ won't take you all the way. AI is a much easier solution than, for example, transferring models and textures to 3ds Max.
And Photoshop is always available for necessary corrections and adjustments.
In my 40-year career in advertising, I have seen many professions consigned to the graveyard. I don’t know if—or to what extent—AI will affect creatives. Has it made certain parts of my job easier? Certainly. Will it take my job away? I don’t know. And is AI the biggest threat? None of us knows right now what tomorrow holds.April 18, 2025 at 10:46 AM #2125595It depends on what you want to do, mainly what you want to do to a Daz model after transferring it to the Blender.
Personally, I found his work interesting and it's obvious that he knows how to set up and light the models and the space he uses.September 6, 2024 at 1:43 PM #2089607Without shadows everything is flat. The most interesting thing in an image is not the light, but the shadows that define the light.
Start with one light behind the man, one behind the woman, and a 3d light above as soft fill.
Leave the picture dark at the start and start to bright one light at time to understad what give in your picture.
Also lowered the roughness on the dress and raise the bump or normal mapMay 17, 2024 at 4:21 PM #2075286It's not obj. It's FBX (default settings) export
May 16, 2024 at 9:14 AM #2075084May 6, 2024 at 11:06 AM #2073594Currently there are 10-15 programs and another 10-15 stores used by professionals. There is not a single reason for a modeler or animator or texture artist to move to a dead program made for hobbyists.
April 1, 2024 at 9:49 AM #2067824It's not the Arnold, Vray, Cycles, Redshift, Corona, Iray or anything else, that make or brake your picture. The Iray integration in DAZ is not good as in 3DSmax, but there it is not free.
I don't know the Substance programs so good to know about the Iray there.
@frank22 without shadows you don't scare me 😎😃P.S. English it's not my native language.
March 28, 2024 at 4:44 PM #2066947Thanks! 3d scan maybe has the best models for humans.
March 28, 2024 at 4:23 PM #2066940Genesis 9 face has the best skin, eyes, proportion. Especially the eyes are really good. And the face is what conveys emotions to your viewer. The body, in the majority of cases, is covered.
Daz3d has a nice renderer. Iray. Even if you don't like Iray you have Octane. One of the Best.
The problem is that few PAs know how to make proper models and proper shaders.
And even fewer users know how to use light to create a picture. I can understand this, because Daz3d is a program for the amateur, not the professional. But the main reason for a bad render its not the program, its the user who don't know how to use light and perspective. You gonna have the same bad pictures even if you use Blender or 3dsMax or Maya or Cinema4D. OK, these programs has better animation, sculpt, modelling, everything. But Daz its not a program for these jobs.
Personally, I want just one feature from the Daz. USD compatibility.May 19, 2023 at 3:03 PM #1973407Torrent client QBittorent

Daz Studio and Substance Painter
In part 4 you can see how to setup a PBR material.By the way in V-ray and Corona (the 2 render engines i know better), in the new "physical material" you must set the reflection at 100% everywhere and roughness control the rest.
But in Daz not all the vendors knows how to use roughness map.January 19, 2023 at 2:14 PM #1915677https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/on-demand/session/gtcspring21-s31893/

Daz 4.20, Iray + Photoshop.
(I think Iray is much faster now. RTX 2070)
