Hiya @jollyjumper I think I have found the answer, thank you for the reply.
September 15, 2026 at 7:15 PM #2188052Hiya, I Googled your model, I can't see any free versions of yours, most start at around $65 at a reasonable quality, quite a lot seem low quality, but some have had a lot of Photoshopping done so beware. A lot of 3D cars were on Renderosity, I collected quite a few, but I've never seen that model on there.
August 23, 2026 at 11:28 AM #2185465When I began listening to it I thought 'Money For Nothing.' Funny how I don't know the name of any band or their music from much beyond that era.
August 23, 2026 at 11:20 AM #2185464I really like the idea of a 'NLA' section, mainly because I hope it would contain older products. I look for these for many reasons, entirely because of their age. They were designed to be used on older computers and are generally smaller than today's massive packages. Older items tend to be simpler, I spend a lot of time re-working items to something I want and the simpler the base the easier it is. Some artists from earlier years of 3D creation seemed to be producing more interesting, creative ideas. Others made good geometry but poor textures, so the item can be improved fairly easily given the access to new paint tools and textures. In saying this, I found some artists were making items that defied my best attempts! A good question I read on the subject a long time ago 'What are your fave stand alone tools you use with Poser?' I mean small ones, mainly text editors, paint progs, I was hoping to have found new ideas but it seems like a lot of the people that produced python scripts aren't around now.
August 15, 2026 at 8:52 PM #2184711Because I found Daz really hard to work with due to it's complex, bloated library, I would use anything else. I tried AI mostly due to the novelty of the concept. Maybe I was too late, but around a month or more ago the censors made it very boring. Also I produce sequential images to create story lines. I could do this on some AI sites, most have limits on how many images you could create before you have to donate all your savings, personal details, phone number, email etc. But there are still 2 free unlimited AI programs that don't need sign ups, I don't see them lasting the next roundup by the censors.
There isn't an easy way to create poses or facial expressions, often the character stares into the camera, so AI has a long way to go yet. I see hundreds of people complaining about AI on Deviantart. It's almost destroyed Youtube. The other way completely is using AI to enhance rendered images, but I could already do that in JASC paint program.August 7, 2026 at 8:16 PM #2183782Hiya Eva @evangeline, I spent a lot of money on a new computer, I'm very pleased with it, I bought it in the hope it would last a long time. I'm very sad to find Windows 11 isn't very easy to use. I spend a lot of my time working on 3D items, most of the time I use stand alone programs. That means I can turn off most of the Windows components, I probably have only ever used Notepad and the picture viewer. I just wanted to buy a good computer with good graphics so I could move onto hopefully better programs like Blender.
I use Firefox for the internet, on the old computer I used Avast security. Now I've got things that I can't shut off. The main problem is what to do next. I could wait until the next version of Windows. I could go back to the shop and see if they can put Windows 10 on this new computer. As it was expensive and still under warranty I can't do much with it. But choices are limited. There are only Microsoft Windows operating systems. Microsoft decides when it wants to cease support. It has the monopoly. What Windows 11 actually is in terms of improvement on earlier systems I don't know. The NT files and a lot of files that were developed for Windows XP are still there. But there are tracking devices that cannot be turned off. So the problem can be seen as a huge waste of resources/memory. This is at a critical level on some computers when updating, the security causes spikes.
Because my new computer has a high spec, the load on memory isn't an issue. The issue is privacy, I'm not sure who can see data from my computer. This would include my passwords. Including this one. My guess, it's only a guess is they are trying to bring computers inline with the ''know your customer'' system now on mobile phones. If you go to Google and look for Wiki pages there are quite a few interesting points. If you look for debates about Windows 11 the main moan is the ''right click menu''. So my option here looks like being buying a cheap computer just to go on the internet and using this new computer entirely offline. On every other computer I've had I can load and use Poser 6 and any other 32 bit programs no problem. The screen jitters now like an earthquake at the end of the world when I try to open Poser 6. I can't open a Keygen, it is possible to turn off the security but there isn't a set time when it might turn back on again. Oddly, if I don't load .Exe files onto the computer and use them straight from a pen drive they work fine. Because I do a lot of editing I open and close a lot of files. This all needs cleaning up, the temp files were deleted by Ccleaner in the past. I'm advised not to use it now, so I used the Windows Disk Cleanup. This told me I'd got 19mb of temp internet files. I clicked ''view files'', nothing showed up. This might be an error or they are hidden. Odd, because I'd not opened anything with the Windows browser and Firefox is set to delete everything on shutdown. There is the hope that if Microsoft gets enough complaints there might be an update. Can't wait. ''Thank-you'' to everyone for their replies I hope this post might help anyone considering an upgrade.August 6, 2026 at 1:19 PM #2183614@josiebethlewis2019 Hiya Josie, thank you for your advice, I will look carefully at the links you sent. I've worked on computers for many years but now I don't have much level of concentration, stupidly I got old. There is a level where the computer will be 'good enough', I hope I can get there. If I can learn more about Windows 11 I'm sure I can cope, but because I spent what I'd got on this computer I can't afford to screw up. Just a huge disappointment.
@bababoya007, I think the AI ads should be scrubbed. I tried AI but I can work better with programs I own and understand and I don't ever want to pay subscriptions. It bugs me that years back I hadn't got money for a good computer, now I have one that is better than I thought possible I have a screwed up operating system.July 25, 2026 at 7:17 PM #2181723Hello, for what little I know of the subject mold is caused by damp, I bought a cheap dehumidifier, seemed to work pretty well. Depends which mold it is, one that prefers a hot or cold enviroment. Where I live now I took up the cellar floor and laid a drain, then a layer of membrane on gravel. Reconcreted the floor, problem solved. Another way would be to improve the ventilation down there. Be very carefull of using sealants on the walls, some types of stone eg sandstone will degrade/crumble pretty fast if they can't 'breathe'.
July 19, 2026 at 12:11 PM #2180866Hello Ethiopia @supreme-leech, I don't work with Daz files at all, sorry. This system is only going to work if you wanted a very simple version of the original version. It has a lot of flaws because the bones are all grouped as 'neck' so the original morphs can't be transferred back from multi-boned originals. I managed around 4 good morphs just using Magnets in Poser. Because of the shapes, I couldn't simply edit the .obj file in a program like Wings3D because of how long it would take. In terms of time and results I think editing in a UV editor is way faster. It will work where the .obj file has 'oblong' shapes, for cloth it will not. I used Poser 6, Steve cox UV editor and Paintshop pro to check the alignment of the Trans maps. Making morphs with Magnets isn't easy, I used Wings3d to make mat zones to apply the magnets to. The main ingredient is using a 'donor' hair to make the bones and sphere zones spot on. I found hair characters by Michelle were very good. I'm no expert, but I'm sure somebody could use this idea and refine it.

November 5, 2024 at 4:42 PM #2100578Thanks, ThomasBr I loved this prog!
November 4, 2024 at 3:04 PM #2100304Thank you for your reply! I didn't post these to get the massive 10 point reward, I've got a lot of these links. It will take a while, but I'll try to post them and hope users understand their uses. Before Poser, my main hobby was photo manipulation. I'm now on another website too where I see many other uses of 2D art, both in traditional and AI work. I put some of the links on there and got a lot of interest. The links I mean.. not me.
Have a great day and thank you for your reply!November 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM #2100250I support this, I think a great many also do but haven't posted.
November 3, 2024 at 2:53 PM #2100011I like your idea. I also see people looking for tutorials, I'm sure some have skills that can do that too. Your idea would work, on other sites I make points uploading freebies to order.
November 2, 2024 at 5:44 PM #2099804I think this site has other good features ulysses No where else could you download a program like Poser for example, that is costly, and get opinions about the program before you download, and help with problem solving afterwards.
There are no comments on anything in the Daz catalogue. Here you can see something and ask opinions.
There is a huge number of users on here that can offer sound advice, that alone is worth coming here. -
