I know this is not 3D related, but thought I would pose this question to people: does anyone know a medicinal fix to get rid of mold spores in your body?

My mother and I have a mold problem in our house that we are working to fix, but I inherited a sort of nasty cough from these spores and I know there is a way to "DETOX" them out but I don't remember what you ingest to do it. Does anyone know?

Sorry if this is not 3D related. I didn't know where to post this...>< My apologies.

Antihistamines (Benadryl, etc) and nasal corticosteroids (Flonase, etc) ease symptoms.

Herbal remedies include ginger, turmeric, primarily to ease symptoms.

Activated charcoal and probiotics (yogurt) can be injested to 'capture' mold toxins in the gut to be removed rather than reabsorbed. Use as directed.

However, ignoring effects or relying on home remedies instead of consulting a professional (due to cost) is no way to die. You can replace money.

@3Demon - I'm on an antiboitic, but I will try other things as well. The Herbal remedies do help, along with what all the rest you said.

Only problem is, even if I get rid of them in my system, the ROOT problem still needs dealt with and that is the actual mold in the basement. We should have money soon to get it done and removed.

Hello, for what little I know of the subject mold is caused by damp, I bought a cheap dehumidifier, seemed to work pretty well. Depends which mold it is, one that prefers a hot or cold enviroment. Where I live now I took up the cellar floor and laid a drain, then a layer of membrane on gravel. Reconcreted the floor, problem solved. Another way would be to improve the ventilation down there. Be very carefull of using sealants on the walls, some types of stone eg sandstone will degrade/crumble pretty fast if they can't 'breathe'.

@cr7cona - If you have nothing constructive to say, then don't say anything.

And the way you are coming in here acting like that, I must've STEPPED on your toes somwhere of something that upset you. Guess what? That is a YOU PROBLEM, not mine.

So agaIN, if you have NOTHING LOGICAL to say, than keep your toxic vitriol to yourself...

@inverse - I'll be getting some and also a good breather to try to work on this, till we get rapid mold removal to do it.

    - yeah we have a drain, but the house was sort of built by my father when he worked at a company that no longer exists in a way. it was for making modular houses, the ones you put together with 2 halfs. they still have companies doing that and some are made a lot better today, but the company that he used to work for, back in the day closed down due to management drama...

    Hey all,
Sorry I'm late to the party, but Colloidal Silver is also a good remedy. Not a miracle thing, but it's a powerful anti-fungal/bacterial/viral agent. Take it orally or spray it on surfaces.
    Best to all
