I grabbed a bunch of stuff from 3d-load. Almost all the google drive links worked. On the rare occasion (once or twice) one didn't work, one of the other hosts would.
Whatever his motivation, the fact that he did it - and that stuff was available easily and for free - just shows he/the site embodied the share ideal of sharing stolen shit freely, instead of hiding things behind paywalls.
I appreciated the immediacy and simplicity of the site. The layout was also clean and uncluttered. I'm rooting for the site to come back!
November 28, 2020 at 12:11 PM #1645979I've seen some really good breast dynamics, done both in blender (multilayer softbodies) and mmd (complex rigidbody systems), where they would move, bounce, compress and interact with clothes and surroundings in a very lifelike and entertaining - if not realistic - manner.
When done really well, I would prefer saving manual animation for special scenarios.October 28, 2020 at 11:41 PM #1638557Thank you Lee, I knew this community could figure it out!

September 9, 2017 at 2:54 PM #331759I've been catching up on stuff, like backing up everything, playing some games, finishing finally installing everything after re-imaging, oh and doing something productive. Still missing that last part.
Funny thing is, I've had this rig for about 5 years, with one graphics card upgrade about a year and a half ago, and it isn't until now, after yet another full reinstall and some further tinkering in the BIOS that I seem to have unlocked the full potential of the machine. Seems there's a setting concerning integrated graphics that really screws with utilizing Nvidia graphics. Well, that's sorted now!
Also, F.Lux can go to hell. It gave me nothing but grief, with random glitches and flickers screwing up my games and movie watching. I'm using SunsetScreen now, and it works like a charm. No glitches.
Oh wait, this was a chat, not a rant... carry on 😛August 25, 2017 at 11:04 AM #319092It's always a good day when you can walk away from surgery 🙂
August 17, 2017 at 8:36 PM #312770This is a great tutorial. The principles can be used in any application, though obviously you'll need some working knowledge of the application in question 🙂
In some apps you can do random placement of objects on a surface via scripting or nodes. Others allow for object painting on a surface. Some do both. Daz studio does neither, really. So getting good with a third party app might be a good idea. Like Blender 🙂
August 17, 2017 at 8:32 PM #312763Someone did this: https://agr1on.deviantart.com/art/Witchblade-491759295
With this pack: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/fantasy-cult/70131August 17, 2017 at 3:03 PM #312486You can open windows advanced firewall, by typing it in the start menu. Then simply add an outbound rule to block facegen program. Personally I use Windows Firewall Control by bini-soft, which makes it a lot easier to handle outbound connections, since you can configure it to throw up notifications. Not exactly a tool for complete beginners though.
August 15, 2017 at 8:28 PM #311128Ohh, they're rewriting poser? Now that might be very interesting indeed.
There's a little program called DesignDoll which lets you pose a character. It's free, but has a pro version with a few extra features. The posing mechanism in that app is simply worlds better than in Daz and much smoother and intuitive than in Poser. So I hope they take a cue from what's presently available elsewhere and focus on speed and usability.July 23, 2017 at 11:45 PM #293349I just finished reading the tutorial. First of all, thank you very much for making it. It does seem like a lot of work though. Hard to imagine having to do this for more than a few files without going crazy 🙂
