Hello all. How are things going? It's been a little quiet around here. Sure, the request section gets plenty of traffic, but that doesn't really count.
Are you working on anything? Just want to chat? Saw a good movie? Read a good book?

I just finished a charity set for Halloween. So I am taking a break. I do have lots of ideas but I think I am going to work on my contest entry next.
Testing the limits of my machine at the moment. Rendering a scene in iray with 3 characters all with different skin shaders and different hair style. Will post it in the Art group when it's finished.
Last night I attempted (foolishly) to render an animation series of images in iray. DAZ crashed as the first image finished and the second was being processed.
Yes I get that.
I think I am running out of memory with mine, as the computer just shuts down without warning.
I am sure it is not heat related.:0/
@mysticfortune I have only rendered 1 animation in Daz it was a short 2 sec clip when done but I had Daz crash 3 times with iray. It's just something you have to get used to it's mostly likely not your system most of the time its Daz being derpy.
Busy with real world stuff, keeping in shape-fixing the stupid house-working on the stupid car...you know, stuff. I usually spend an hour or two in Blender most nights after wasting another hour downloading porn...
Stop snickering or shaking your heads, the internet was invented primarily for porn, the other stuff is just an occasional diversion.It has been quiet. Been so busy at work it's cutting into the time I use (steal) from the company to compose scenes. I'd create art at home but the wife would get on to me; she likes her "quality time"!

This comp seems right up your alley!@robf4g210 I spent the whole day designing the character for the contest also got the room done. I need to design one more character. Then I can take it all into photoshop. I really like this character. I am not really doing some thing sexy with this one but peeping yes.
Why do I constantly share stuff with the community of Imgur and expect anything but negative feedback? Insanity at it's finest I suppose...

I've thought the same thing of those trolls at Imgur as well. I've already decided that there's no reason to submit to their community.
I've been catching up on stuff, like backing up everything, playing some games, finishing finally installing everything after re-imaging, oh and doing something productive. Still missing that last part.
Funny thing is, I've had this rig for about 5 years, with one graphics card upgrade about a year and a half ago, and it isn't until now, after yet another full reinstall and some further tinkering in the BIOS that I seem to have unlocked the full potential of the machine. Seems there's a setting concerning integrated graphics that really screws with utilizing Nvidia graphics. Well, that's sorted now!
Also, F.Lux can go to hell. It gave me nothing but grief, with random glitches and flickers screwing up my games and movie watching. I'm using SunsetScreen now, and it works like a charm. No glitches.
Oh wait, this was a chat, not a rant... carry on 😛F.Lux is one of those programs that works great, or totally screws up. Have not tried SunsetScreen.
I have had my current PC for nearly 7 years now. No upgrades as I'm poor. There is a growing swath of dead pixels and it wasn't top of the line when I first got it. Luckily I like some older games. Fallout 3, New Vegas, non-SE Skyrim, Starbound, and a few others are the ones I have in rotation.
To be honest I should be working on a project or two.
