A couple of guesses to check out.
Jolie Hair - Top
Beauty Shop for Jolie Hair - Top
Devil May Deluxe Hair - Back
And I think something from AprilYSH for the side waves/curlsFebruary 15, 2024 at 8:59 AM #2058580Thank you for all the replies and advice 🙂
@Ethiopia
I had the demo version and really liked that. Even registered for an extended trial, hoping they would email me with a discount offer after it expired. Never got even one email from them, besides the temporary certificate code. Tried running it after that using "Run As Date" to make the program think it's not expired yet, but no luck. Maybe a version that doesn't detect anything on Virustotal would be safe? Do you use that cracked version on your online pc too?
@InverseKinematics
I haven't heard about Portmaster before, that's interesting. I used to setup firewall rules for exes while I was still using cracked software, but I think that was pretty hit and miss with not blocking all the exe files, don't know if other file extensions can cause problems too... I'm thinking about getting more advanced programs like Zbrush too. So hopefully I can get something secure set up. The basic version of Sandboxie would cover that?
@tedthelearner
I'm wondering if programs like Portmaster and Wireshark only monitor connections or block them too? I'm paranoid in testing potentially infected software, isn't it still risky? I understand the closed off concept of Virtualbox, I guess I should just learn how to use it, the unknown is probably what's holding me back, thinking that I might screw up identifying a threat. How do you know when a detection in VirusTotal is only a false positive and nothing more?
@gts6
I remember looking at XYplorer back when I was researching dual plane file explorers, but for the life of me I can't now recall why I snuffed it. Even looking at images in Google images now it looks perfectly fine. Ok, so I checked out the limitations of the trial version its this:
The unregistered trial version is fully functional with very few limitations:Image previews have "XYplorer Trial" printed in top-left corner.
The title bar of the main window cannot be customized.None of that sounds like a deal breaker. If its intuitive, with side by side planes and dark mode I think it would be sweet. I'm still gonna checkout Sandboxie, Portmaster, Wireshark to run something like Zbrush. I'm gonna try out XYplorer. Hope it rocks 🙂
February 10, 2024 at 5:24 PM #2057979I would really like to see a hair converter too, for G8x.
December 26, 2023 at 7:20 AM #2050292the last clean upload of keyshot pro on cgpeers was 11.2 Win a year ago
I would appreciate a link if that's possible. As far as I know it's a closed community. I don't think I need the latest version.
Happy holidays everybody
December 17, 2023 at 12:30 PM #2048731Hey thanks for all the help guys 🙂 Yeah I'm very skittish with pirated software.
I usually download software from filecr.com, but even from there the version I downloaded was infected, it's making me wonder if there are clean copies available.
Also with VirusTotal the maximum file upload size is 650mb. Some of the exes are larger than that. That in itself is suspicious to me. So I avoid those too.
Guess I'm gonna have to checkout sandboxie how it works. Is it 100% secure though?
I always thought of Zone as a relatively safe place for downloads other than Daz stuff, with the community aspect here. I hope somebody looks into it.
September 12, 2023 at 3:56 PM #2025122That's cool. It will be an interesting experiment, adding morphs to another hair. The only problem I think there might be is with the targeting. Take VO Xiao Hua hair as an example. Lovely hair, but the tail has no morphs. If I were to transfer ponytail morphs from a OOT style I'm guessing it might affect the whole hair. The tail would probably need to be rigged. Should be a fun starting point into creating hairstyles before getting into a dedicated sculpting program to create them from scratch 🙂 Watch out OOT, here I come 😀
@gaver
How is the workaround working out?September 12, 2023 at 9:15 AM #2024945September 10, 2023 at 8:52 PM #2024431Ahhh that's too bad. I hope so. Will make for some very spectacular VNs 🙂
September 10, 2023 at 3:55 PM #2024311I remember seeing renders you did for a visual novel, you what a vn is all about. Is SD a good fit? Is it possible to inpaint clothing? What about consistent lighting? I'm really interested. If there's a way to make things easier than fighting with Daz I would love to use SD.
Would like to see some renders bud 🙂
September 10, 2023 at 3:45 PM #2024305Happy I could help. Using that method will allow the hair to simulate into place contouring to the clothing and the character.
If the hair explodes you can just clear the explosion on the hair using clear selected and still have the clothing's simulation done and not have to resimulate that. Simulating one at a time makes the simulation less complicated for Daz to deal with and can help to prevent explosions. Also, this video shows a very good way to simualte by using the timeline. What's also nice about is if you simulate hair using the time line and and explosion occur before the last frame you might have a useful simulation done when scrolling back a few frames.

I haven't used dforce2morph to morph, it looks handy.
Ah! Thanks I'm gonna check those two vendors out. Fit control adds morphs that drapes the clothing in accordance to posing a limb? I haven't seen that 🙂
How do you transfer morphs from one garment to another?
September 10, 2023 at 2:17 AM #2024024@frank22, scrolling through the ControlNet, it looks awesome. Very beautiful images. With the rapid advancements, I wonder what it will look like a year from now. My pain thing is a visual novel that requires the characters to have the same clothing at least during a scene and their own appearance throughout the entire story. When it gets to that, I'm ready to jump ship. Can't get over that awesome lighting. Thanks for the link bud 🙂
September 10, 2023 at 12:42 AM #2024006The SD stuff looks interesting. I don't know much of it though. The lighting looks great, the render from a screenshot is very cool - it should be able to handle say a cartwheel pose if the model hasn't been trained on it right? My biggest restraint switching from Daz to SD, can it keep a character's model consistent using the render from screenshot thing, and if it adjusts the appearance can it keep that adjustment consistent? 🙂
September 10, 2023 at 12:33 AM #2024005Are you referring to explosions? When simulating clothing and hair on a character I use simulate selected to simulate in steps, first I simulate the character and clothing - turn on freeze simulation for the clothing. Second simulate the character the clothes and the hair still using simulated selected.
I like dynamic morphs too. Few vendors use them though, can only think of Pretty3D.
