Maybe I am just not cleaver enough, but when using dForce clothes and Hares at the same time, the often collide, en make a mess of the simulation.
A workaround ( if there is no better option) is dforce2morph.
I take the figure, put (dForce)hair on, select pose, then simulate. When simulation is complete, save the simulation as a morph. then remove the hair, add dForce clothing, simulate. when done put the hair on the figure again, a dial wil apeare with the simulation executed if you put the slider to 100. This way you can make a slider of every individual simulation, and the collisions will not happen.September 9, 2023 at 8:04 PM #2023901TBH I would much rather have dynamic morphs, for both hair & clothing.
A lot quicker, less faffing about and you know what result you will get at the moving of a slider.

September 10, 2023 at 12:33 AM #2024005Are you referring to explosions? When simulating clothing and hair on a character I use simulate selected to simulate in steps, first I simulate the character and clothing - turn on freeze simulation for the clothing. Second simulate the character the clothes and the hair still using simulated selected.
I like dynamic morphs too. Few vendors use them though, can only think of Pretty3D.

JaMaRe often uses them, and there are others such as Kaleya.
'Fit Control' adds quite a few, but gives varying results, dependent on the garment you are using them on.
When I find the odd useful one, I often transfer them to other garments to improve the situation.
Sometimes they work very well, other times not so much.

September 10, 2023 at 3:45 PM #2024305Happy I could help. Using that method will allow the hair to simulate into place contouring to the clothing and the character.
If the hair explodes you can just clear the explosion on the hair using clear selected and still have the clothing's simulation done and not have to resimulate that. Simulating one at a time makes the simulation less complicated for Daz to deal with and can help to prevent explosions. Also, this video shows a very good way to simualte by using the timeline. What's also nice about is if you simulate hair using the time line and and explosion occur before the last frame you might have a useful simulation done when scrolling back a few frames.

I haven't used dforce2morph to morph, it looks handy.
Ah! Thanks I'm gonna check those two vendors out. Fit control adds morphs that drapes the clothing in accordance to posing a limb? I haven't seen that 🙂
How do you transfer morphs from one garment to another?
September 10, 2023 at 4:07 PM #2024320It doesn't drape, but with the morphs available it can do a decent job of positioning garments which aren't overly floaty. 😉
September 11, 2023 at 2:00 PM #2024697Morph transfer can be done from within DS
From the 'Edit' drop down menu
Object / Transfer Utility.
I only have a basic working knowledge of the function, having learnt parrot fashion how to use the function I need.
There will be other members better qualified to give more detailed instructions on its use.
🙂
September 12, 2023 at 9:15 AM #2024945September 12, 2023 at 9:33 AM #2024962@cage I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not.
This one adds morphs to V4 legacy hairstyles.
🙂
September 12, 2023 at 3:56 PM #2025122That's cool. It will be an interesting experiment, adding morphs to another hair. The only problem I think there might be is with the targeting. Take VO Xiao Hua hair as an example. Lovely hair, but the tail has no morphs. If I were to transfer ponytail morphs from a OOT style I'm guessing it might affect the whole hair. The tail would probably need to be rigged. Should be a fun starting point into creating hairstyles before getting into a dedicated sculpting program to create them from scratch 🙂 Watch out OOT, here I come 😀

How is the workaround working out?September 12, 2023 at 6:37 PM #2025186@Cage
Your way is just as easy, as the name says, it is a way ( not the proper) to get where you wanna get. Been bit busy this week, but I like the tip you gave me
Still dForce to Morph is handy if you use a certain clothing a lot, saves a lot of time if you do not have to simulate it every time again. Naming is the trick I guess -
