Damn their 5 freebie per day download limit is annoying. Trying to get all the g8f models but that's making it take longer.

Seems like it. Guhzcoituz and blopblopfish, both of which did primarily video game conversions also got the banhammer apparently.
damn nathanprescott too? his stuff was pretty decent quality as far as video game character conversions went.
I just shove them in the same folder as the clothing set they're for. Way too annoying otherwise. But I also install everything manually.
For the first question yes. It's stupid and I'm not 100% sure to the particulars of how it works under the hood, but 8.1 clothes fit to G8 characters, you just have to change the their setting under scene identification from 8.1 to 8 and then fit to the character like normal.
I am by no means knowledgeable on this so maybe there's a better way to do it, but exporting it as an obj on blender and then importing it on daz has worked for me in the past.
I'm not 100% sure but I think it's around a month. Or maybe it used to be, I had something similar happen a few years back.

Sorry to necropost, but I'm having the same issue, but on a macbook instead.
I downloaded the measure metrics file for the version of daz I have, and I went to run the "DS4_MeasureMetrics_1.11.0.5_Mac64" application, which opens the installer, and follow the prompts only for it to spit out "The installation path for DAZ Studio could not be found. "Measure Metrics DS4 (64bit)" cannot be installed. Setup will now quit."
I already manually placed the .dylib files in the plugin folders, and as far as I can tell, I have daz installed in the default location (Macintosh HD/Applications/Daz 3D/DAZStudio4 64-bit). And where exactly the installer wants or expects Daz to be installed is some nebulous secret because if it at least told me that I could work from there.
Anyone have experience getting it to work on a mac?
honestly i don't think it's the worst thing to put up things from those bundles. i used to have pretty awful third world internet and it was a pain to have to download a full GB+ bundle when I only wanted one thing from it. Used to have to wake up before sunrise when the network was somewhat faster because after that it got so slow that mega just spazzed out and got stuck.
edit: obviously with the understanding that the original person who filled the request be the one to put up the individual parts and not just some random person riding the coattails of that reposting them for points.
