RKS Rovia is Olivia Rodrigo
October 11, 2026 at 3:32 PM #2191390Several things will keep me from getting anything from RhenderArt. Accessibility to the product, prices being bonkers, limited use of the product, no real promo art displaying the product.
Accessibilty: I don't have a lot of trust for direct transaction on the net. I'm a simple man: I click on purchase, I get the product, if it's any issue and the product is lost on my side (HDD crash, whatever) I can have it back in one click.
Prices: It doesn't worth that amount of money. For the price you can literally get from 2 to 6 video games, depending if it's AAA or independant. And they all have customs characters, levels, animations, cinematics, etc. So I know they sell at a different scale and people in Daz needs to rise the price so it can be profitable, bleh bleh bleh. Yeah studios also have employees to pay, licences for softs, computers, rentals, etc. And for 99% of users, Daz is just a side hobby, we're not making money out of it. Unless you're a massive fan of some celebrity and will ONLY use this character for the next 5 years, doing 10 renders a week, price is too high for the usage. Most people will use a celebrity look alike a couple of time for fanart because they though of something after a movie or a song released, and then, will never touch it again.
Limited use: For something THAT expensive, I wanna do the fuck what I want with the product: I paid for it, it's mine. And don't start bullshitting me with the artist having some ethics, not wanting it to be used to degrade the real person. IF... you have some ethics to begin with, you're not modelling a character after real persons to make some money based on their fame in first place. This guy is just chickening he can be sued in case of a picture using his work lands on the internet, get viral and the depicted celebrity is pissed.
No promo art: Sorry, but all I see is one shot made of a head and nothing more. I have to trust the vendor that his work is insanely good. And about the positive comments, etc. Anyone can created a bunch of accounts on DA or social media to give a good rating and praise the vendor. Sorry, at this price, I'm not willing to take the risk.September 25, 2026 at 2:15 PM #2189361From my understanding, the render is not processed on cloud, it uses DLSS functions of your graphic card, in a similar yet different way to what it does with video games. Only the authentication process requires a connection to the net.
September 24, 2026 at 8:54 AM #2189194The saddest part if this story is not the beef between the guy who made this soft and some members of this forum.
If one guy not being a part of the company managed to significantly cut rendering time on his spare time, it means Daz is definitely dead. People are complaining about rendering time since age, and they claim they can't do anything about it. That is either blatant incompetence or they don't give a fuck anymore.August 4, 2026 at 9:33 AM #2183425RKS Sigma is Simone Simmons, from Epica. Defo not someone I expected to see as a character in Daz...
June 7, 2026 at 3:25 PM #2176985Well, as I said, it was expected for the plugins to not work anymore with the new version.
DS4 was working on an outdated version of framework, maybe 10/15 years old. You can't use something like that anymore if you want your software to evolve. It happens with every single soft: at some point the architecture evolved and a bunch of features are no longer working because the backbone is different. You can't keep the same architecture/engine for ever. I can't really blame them for that.
Plugins and scripts will be upgraded by the vendors to work properly with the new version. No big deal.
My only concern is the Mesh grabber plugins not available anymore since they bought it and decided to put it behind a paywall (premier).June 6, 2026 at 5:01 PM #2176917First impressions after running a few tests:
Figure and assets are loading significantly faster. With the old version, I had time to go to the kitchen and make a coffee while loading something (at this point, everything was taking age to load, it was a true nightmare). With Ds6, figures takes maybe 10/20 seconds max depending on the size of the file. Hair loads immediatly, etc.
I can actually work properly when I have several characters in a scene. I loaded one with kinda 15 characters, fully clothed, etc. On DS4, moving something was a slideshow, with DS6, I can move things without lagging.
Simulation with Dforce items seems to work better as well. No explosions so far, better speed, no lag.Now...
Some old scenes can't be rendered in Iray and I have a black screen. Not all of them, some. Not sure if it's something loaded in the scene preventing it to render properly. Maybe it's a bug and it will be fixed later.
None of the scripts are working, which was expected since from my understanding, they are now using something more recent as backbone. Guess we will have to wait for vendors for an update of their items.
Major issue, for me is we will no longer have the Mesh grabber plugin available, unless paying that f***** premier subscription. As someone who was using it a lot, that sucks. I tested an old scene, with a custom morph of a skirt, made with Mesh grabber. It doesn't load properly in DS6, so you can't edit something in DS4 and import it later in DS6. Or maybe saving it as a morph, I didn't test that yet.It will probably take a few weeks/months for things to be fixed/tuned and the whole soft running properly.
Since I can run it along DS4, no big deal. I guess I will just swap between versions depending on what I need to do
as a reference, I'm running it on a Ryzen 5900x - 64Go DDR4 - RTX3080. It would be nice for people posting in this thread to give their specs as well, so we can see if some setups have a better optimization than others. Intel vs AMD, old vs new generation GC, CPU, etc.

They are using a freckle layer close enough.March 15, 2026 at 1:30 AM #2167483
You can be mistaken looking at recent pictures of Olivia, but this take is a much younger Olivia, late 20's early 30's.
March 15, 2026 at 1:21 AM #2167481First, not only that she have the facial features of Olivia, she also have the same eye color, the freckles, and cherry on the cake, she played a character called Sloan Sabbith in "The Newsroom" TV show.
Second, she looks nothing like Jennifer Lawrence
Third, RKS already made character RKS Jenna who is a Jennifer Lawrence look alike.March 15, 2026 at 12:04 AM #2167474RKS SLoan: Olivia Munn
February 23, 2026 at 8:34 PM #2164833We can update the list with Krista being obviously Kristen Stewart.
February 23, 2026 at 8:32 PM #2164832Well, if doing some cleaning, maybe the request section of the forum can be removed. The system replacing it is far from new now, it's been at least 2 years: I don't think it's still something revelant there anymore.
