actually, valid point @InverseKinematics
I have experienced the same where certain vendors used same textures from other assets they don't own. Like, wth... i know this is a pirate site, and i'm a dirty pirate. but its even more scummy when vendors plagiarize, and get paid for it...
October 9, 2026 at 12:50 PM #2191178So true @inversekinematics. You get an asset, install it and load it into the scene and then you get a bunch of missing texture errors, yet the figure loads just as it should. And you're sitting there, asking why textures from some unknown figure you've never owned is popping up loading errors.
October 9, 2026 at 7:15 PM #2191200a lot of it comes from people not knowing the proper way of saving assets. daz for sure doesn't make it easy to know the CC pipeline. usually, they'll learn the proper way the more they create.
In this case, what @Paca mentioned about RHenderart saving the characters as a scene subset is indeed stupid. It seems like an anti-piracy measure or just pure laziness. But given the quality of RHenderArt, it looks to me more like a way to stop leaks.
If anyone has the morphs that can share it, I have experience in saving the morphs so it loads for all G9 figures. I'm considering using this thread to organize his models to be more accessible, if that's okay with the mods. Given the nature of how he sells his assets, it's not the typical Daz storefront. So a little more work will be needed.
October 10, 2026 at 5:51 AM #2191236Yeah, these morphs can easily be saved as two universal head and body morphs, there's absolutely nothing complicated about it. But you gotta admit, this guy makes really good faces in some places - at first glance, they're just as good as HiD or V3D, and in some places, even better.
October 10, 2026 at 1:34 PM #2191302So I want to point something out here... Totocandy way over charges for his celebrity models and in my opinion his models look like shit. Yet people from this site have in the past at least bought many of his models and shared them. Otherwise I wouldn't even have any of his models in my library. So like it has been perplexing to me that people are readily buying a pricey product from Totocandy and won't even touch Rhenderarts products.
October 11, 2026 at 12:52 PM #2191382One is on renderhub and the other isnt. Ease of access is a massive hurdle for purchasing and discoverability.
October 11, 2026 at 1:54 PM #2191387For sure Rhenderarts method to sell his models is less accessible.
October 11, 2026 at 3:32 PM #2191390Several things will keep me from getting anything from RhenderArt. Accessibility to the product, prices being bonkers, limited use of the product, no real promo art displaying the product.
Accessibilty: I don't have a lot of trust for direct transaction on the net. I'm a simple man: I click on purchase, I get the product, if it's any issue and the product is lost on my side (HDD crash, whatever) I can have it back in one click.
Prices: It doesn't worth that amount of money. For the price you can literally get from 2 to 6 video games, depending if it's AAA or independant. And they all have customs characters, levels, animations, cinematics, etc. So I know they sell at a different scale and people in Daz needs to rise the price so it can be profitable, bleh bleh bleh. Yeah studios also have employees to pay, licences for softs, computers, rentals, etc. And for 99% of users, Daz is just a side hobby, we're not making money out of it. Unless you're a massive fan of some celebrity and will ONLY use this character for the next 5 years, doing 10 renders a week, price is too high for the usage. Most people will use a celebrity look alike a couple of time for fanart because they though of something after a movie or a song released, and then, will never touch it again.
Limited use: For something THAT expensive, I wanna do the fuck what I want with the product: I paid for it, it's mine. And don't start bullshitting me with the artist having some ethics, not wanting it to be used to degrade the real person. IF... you have some ethics to begin with, you're not modelling a character after real persons to make some money based on their fame in first place. This guy is just chickening he can be sued in case of a picture using his work lands on the internet, get viral and the depicted celebrity is pissed.
No promo art: Sorry, but all I see is one shot made of a head and nothing more. I have to trust the vendor that his work is insanely good. And about the positive comments, etc. Anyone can created a bunch of accounts on DA or social media to give a good rating and praise the vendor. Sorry, at this price, I'm not willing to take the risk. -
