    I've been so busy I haven't submitted anything yet! Shame on me.

    @Lapucelle
    The contest ends this Sunday at midnight, right? What timezone is that?

    I was having a laugh.

    Rank is the same as point total. More points = higher rank. That's all.

    Rank 6 means that I have more points than someone who is Rank 5.

    If you want to call me "Queen" or "Your Majesty" for my high rank, I will allow it.

    Rank 6 is the highest level and all must bow before it.

    EDIT: I have been informed that Rank 6 is not the highest level and that I have much bowing to do.

    soft classic

    Did a quick test to verify. No problems with hair or color. No geometry shell; I simply selected the main hair asset and then clicked the purple color option here. I've used this hair many times with no issues, so it's not the asset that's the problem.

    Unfortunately I don't know what else to suggest. 🙁 If you right click the materials in Daz you can go to their source location. If that doesn't show up then that's the problem. If the source materials DO show up, then something else is the problem, but I don't have a clue what it is...

    Good luck! 🙂

    I have that hair and have never had any troubles.

    Troubleshooting guess: It looks like you are using a non-standard file/folder system. Try re-installing the hair all in one parent folder. Use a temporary "test" folder library if that's easier. I suspect the materials are not where the duf file expects them to be.

    LOL @Frank22. Those trolls nearly made me spit up my drink!

    I want to be clear that I agree with you. I only meant to say that blog posting can be a frustrating and unrewarding activity. Maybe it was better in the past, idk?

    The comments about "community" are part of it. I get to know members and get little "thank you" notes when I share to Requests. Every person on my Friends list is someone I've had a positive interaction with. When I share to the blog, I only get reports and complaints. The recent period of bulk-reported image and share links makes this feel even worse. (Fwiw, I'm waiting for the bulk-reporting to die down a bit before I share some of my blog posts.)

    I'm not looking to rant or to brainstorm fixes. I simply wanted to state my experience with the blog. I'll see you all in the Art Competition forum!

    Very impressive, Luca! Your attention to detail in the background is wonderful.

    @Diviniren Great detective work. Happy you found your issue.

    @Frank22 I recommend deleting all VOOTW products. I've solved so many issues by deleting VOOTW content from my libraries. VOOTW likes to use HIDDEN morphs that often modify the G8/G8.1 base characters. I really should have offered it up as one of the troubleshooting suggestions. VOOTW (and many RenderH*b) characters cause a lot of issues. It's so bad that VOOTW frequently removes broken products from the Daz store. As Diviniren linked, there are some Daz forum threads about it.

    Like mjoe and LivingPixels, my first thought is to look at your system RAM and free storage space. Try restarting your PC, then load a single new character in an empty scene and adding the OOT hair. OOT hairs are notoriously large and will fill up your RAM. If you're maxing out your RAM and defaulting to the page file it's going to be very very slow.

    Of course, the common curse of too many downloaded character morphs could cause this as well.

    That's an odd bug. I've never encountered it. I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't save your updated parameters...

    Did you change both "Subdivision Level" and "Render SubD Level"? They are normally linked in Daz, but can be de-linked by accidentally clicking the link icon in Parameters. Set Subdivision Level to 2 and Render SubD Level to 3, then save. See if that helps. Probably obvious, but also make sure both of those parameters are unlocked.

    Also check your hidden properties on the character. Turn on Show Hidden Properties in Preferences then scroll through the list of Currently Used parameters. Sometimes a poorly-tested, newly-installed character can change the base G8/G8.1 model, which will affect all models with that base. That normally wouldn't effect a scene that has been updated and saved, but it's worth investigating.

    Search the official Daz forums too if you haven't yet. Or maybe someone else here can help. Good luck!

    Not to mention the time investment of uploading and replacing reported links...

    Unrelated, is Ms. Bergman considered a pinup?

    That art contest looks interesting. Looking forward to your entry. 😉

    Obviously members have point histories, but we blog posters don't get itemized receipts.

    ADAM, have you posted to the blog recently? It's not as rewarding as you seem to think. I have some items I could send you if you want to post them. (Seriously.)

    @Diviniren
    and @Kefka make a good point. Landscape-sized canvas doesn't fit the theme.

    Though it's simple enough to expand the canvas background, I would support changing the rule to a minimum HEIGHT of 1152px.

    Anonfiles is a shithole, but that works in our favor. 😉

    Agreed on the members spamming links but not responding to PMs. There are a few members that post to the blog but never do anything on the forums. I never understood that behavior.
