I use Resolve too, very good documentation and regular FREE updates. Of course you need a good rig to have a productive flow. After editing I use Handbrake to convert to light consumer friendly formats (notably webm), you will also need a maximum number of up-to-date codecs, (K-lite is your friend).

Just for information regarding the best Daz version, I am still using 4.21 which is very stable, almost never crumbles even with numerous models loaded in memory. No reason to change BUT I practically never use G9 so one could consider my practice as a sort of legacy or archive. An old version with a recent rig does marvels (just check the convenient Geforce software BEFORE upgrading, may be tricky because of the way Iray is implemented in Daz).
And I am far more satisfied with that than with my attempts with AI.
    So old but happy !

Just to fuel dear Eelgoo's wrathful motor: we are in the same league. I absolutely hate G9 and never use it (ugly and taxing even my powerful rig with absurd texture sizes), I am still in a two version old Daz and happy with it. G8 is fast with plenty of clothing, props and NSFW stuff (if needed), the limit is expressions (I agree) AND I can create huge scenes with 20 G8Fs (rendered fast with my 4090 RTX), so that my creation process is fluid and mastered (I do not pretend it is art by the way...). Yes my current experience with an old DAZ version (4.21 or so), an old generation of figures and a recent hardware rig is EXTREMELY pleasing (for my needs : illustration of visual novels and rpg scenarios). I suppose most people have no use for G9 and fluffy bloat (except newcomers and close portraitists) and DAZ is in its death throes (and I no longer care) because they are unable to improve their product (same rehearsed complain) even if they would like. PAs sure are victims but also very complacent and slowly killing what keeps them alive. My wish would be an improved posing process and functional pins, better control for the face rig and optimized morph processing... Even a pirate can dream !

    @maxterrible
Coming from the defunct Kickass torrent universe I must say I fully approve your words. I think the point system is artificial and counterproductive but there were long and harsh debates during the early stage of this site and ultimately it is Hunter who decides according to his own guidelines...
The true problem is the growing lack of quality products (of course opinions may differ here) and so the flood of bad stuff, non poser-Daz software, and perpetual reappearance of supposedly dead linked products (sometimes three or even four times).

Thanks a lot for these precious pieces of information. I will launch a batch of tests with Comfy as you suggest. All your hints are very useful and could help me avoiding certain traps.
Have a nice Christmas time !

Hi, you probably already know that I still consider DS superior to AI for illustration needs BUT I am always experimenting and willing to listen to differing opinions. So after reading much hype about Flux (and in spite of my unhappy previous experimenting with SD) I decided to try again with an open mind. Following available advices and extensive documentation I installed Forge (with Stability) and downloaded huge packs of checkpoints and LORAs to test the thing. I supposed my 24 VRAM GPU would be great (it was very easy and fast with SD1.5), I even compared full brutal F1D, nf4 and fp8 versions. The results were poor and really not much better than SD1.5 AND it was extremely slow (with constant poor handling of memory, nf4 was faster maybe because it has VAE included and I may have not correctly used the right ones for pure F1 and fp8. About the LORAs, i tested a beautiful girl (HAfu for flux) and I had excellent hyper realistic results as long as I strictly used the same prompts as the example image (with no visible hands...). as soon as I tried to become creative, giving her a sword and a full body position, nightmare happened (three hands with demonic fingers, sword flying while I had used long descriptive sentences). I get the impression that I did not understand something or that there is really overhype, I thought that Flux was slow but efficient (no need to have 1000 images for only one acceptable). But really the hands question is not solved.... that was the main reason for my return to AI, I used a "detailed hands LORA" in the same composition and... it was worse (as if LORAs were conflicting).
That was just to express my disappointment, not to prove a point or start a flame war. I really would like to know if there is for Flux a good way to improve hands, (backgrounds and expressions are OKish). I would like to be convinced that AI is a true thing and not a 32 million dollar pic randomizer burning GPUs... I am still willing to learn. Thanks for any advice or help (notably an opinion about the best VAE for the various flux iterations).

My main use of DS is to illustrate visual novels and (tabletop) RPG scenarios booklets. Generally nasty stuff, NSFW and horror or fantasy. I have hoarded a lot from 2012 to 2022 to maintain a large spectrum of opportunities (clothes, body types, environments, historical or peculiar props), you never know what you need in the end (I remember desperately searching for a good janitor broom or a renaissance arquebuse)... I am now extremely picky (and it is easy with the generally lower quality of products, notably dForce stuff and useless cumbersome G9 paraphernalia). We could consider this place as a provisory archive but I must admit I hate when I see things presented as new posts when I know they were made available years ago here (I do not talk about legit reposts or former torrented old treasures from past poser era, new hobbyists may gain from these), but there were debates long ago about this trend and it seems I was in the refuznik minority.
But I would say that the zone was a great help to constitute a work base (totally unaffordable for non pirates), and the community remains positive and friendly most of the time.
    So let's roll...
    Sorry for becoming nostalgic...

I do not want to start a political flame war but which countries currently ban Cloudflare (I know for X and Telegram is going to have problems too) ? it is an educational question, not Daz related.

Great piece of info, thanks. Currently testing upscaling on DAZ renders.

Thanks for the link, actually it is true in all fields where innovation is a key and the self-destructive trend is particularly worrying with medical, military, energy and transport technologies and services...

You are not alone here, I had the same 404 thing and even an "already used password and address" while postimage works on its own for me. Is postimage forbidden now ? (I used it recently in the forum, sorry).

Just my contribution to the three bodies problem, but in Daz Studio....
So the story of three girls in the forest...
Some work but less than 2 minutes rendering (thanks to really powerful rig). The original is in 3840*2160 if you are interested.
    In forest HD
What did they see ? A wolf , an orc or ...
I do not think an AI can currently provide a good and consistent answer. Daz remains useful (but for how long ?)

Supercatcha for me since last week only, nothing similar before (on Brave), first time I blundered heavily.... I just entered the operation, not the result.... I know I am not an AI.

Sorry to disturb, on my side recent images for recent posts have been very slow to appear or even never materialize since last week (it was perfect before), I use Brave. First I supposed it was again an act of hostility from the usual suspects (RH pic busters...) but I now think there is something else. Just food for thought the rest of the site works as usual.
