Last time I tried to submit new content, I was able to use postimage and it worked very well.

Now, I have NO CHOICE but to use this imagehostx, and it DOESN'T WORK!! I click on 'Get Started' and I get a 404 Not Found message. Neither is there ANY WAY to sign up for an account there!

WTF!? Might this explain the growing number of posts I see here that have no images with them? What's going on? Why was this decision made? How does anyone submit a new post now?

You are not alone here, I had the same 404 thing and even an "already used password and address" while postimage works on its own for me. Is postimage forbidden now ? (I used it recently in the forum, sorry).

It must be, because the post submission won't let me submit anything without an image and it won't allow links from anything other than imagehostx

If you'd been reading the forums you'd have seen that this is an ongoing problem and that the mods have been working on it for some time. It's suspected that the vendors are going around getting the image hosts to remove the pictures.
Instead of bitching, whining, moaning and complaining about it, how about offering a practical solution? Go hunt around and find a new image host that will work for us?

How can you remove what you can't Upload?

Nobody's removed any of my images from postimages. Maybe Google Drive?

I've also only had a few removed Kayama but it has happened consistently with postimg for others. It probably depends on how old a product is, if it's still available, the price etc. Basically whether or not the PA/stoolie thinks it's worthwhile to report and get the preview taken down.
The same applies to the DL links.

Perhaps it has something to do with the IP address of who is posting. If using a proxy or VPN IP address that has been burnt out and used and abused by many others before you, that could be an issue.

I do encounter that issue on occasion since I started using a VPN

That could be the case gts6. I only have the free version of Proton and I'm sure those free IP addresses have been used and abused for christ only knows stuff. But it's most likely those with an axe to grind about pirating are behind it.

In some cases, sure there could be vendors complaining. But since people are not able to post the images at all, in those cases there's nothing for a vendor to complain about yet, and so those cases are probably IP address related.

Sorry, I didn't know postimg had banned people (IP addresses) from uploading images. Is that what you're saying? I though it was about the images being taken down.

Yes, based on what people are posting in the thread, it appears they cannot post new content.

    A bit of luck.
I just downloaded from "All posts" a program called "DazArtificer".
    It is 500 pts.
Within 10 minutes was able to post my first successful request....including
    image.
    Does it all.
    Worth a look
