I feel like those of who you are complaining about wokeness were not around when Genesis 1 was a thing, because this is the EXACT same thing and had the EXACT same issues.
I've been dabbling in Daz/Poser since Victoria 2 and Michael 2. right before Genesis was introduced, so I was kinda more interested in 3ds MAX and Blender at the time and really didn't get caught up in the BS back then, but yeah. Same thing. By 2011 when Genesis came out, I had moved on to other things that demanded my attention, and Daz Studio was not one of them. I just know a lot of people used Daz to make stuff like RP images of their made up characters for different sci fi forums, back when having an animated GIF banner in forum signatures was a contest of who had the best graphic arts. DeviantArt was like THE HUB for finding people who could make decent banners and I had my first account there before you could sell your work to the public. But I was busy building space ships and using Photoshop to make other people banners and stuff. Youtube was barely a video hosting site where you would upload your funny 5 minute videos of gameplay for forums. It was a whole different world. Nobody cared about all the BS we see people arguing about now. In some ways the internet was wrose, in some ways it was better. But Genesis was awful at the beginning until they split the characters again. Even then, Victoria and Michael were still more popular so you'd think they would have learned their lessons the first time around. Almost 2 decades later and Victoria, and Michael are still hanging around in one form or another. They are both at version 8 now. But there are even some older versions of both that have been ported to Genesis 8. Still kicking.
@Feymarcher - We know. It's just we think them bringing it BACK, and not staying on SEPARATE MESHES, was probably because of whoever is now SHAREHOLDING for them, told them to go back to it, is what many of us are saying.
And yes there were issues even with gen 2, gen 3, gen, etc. Which is why many of us think they hired on developers who have NO IDEA what they are doing...
This entire thread is just three people sucking each other's dicks and one person who agrees with them, but is trying to find out why it matters.
There were two people trying to add a little reason to this catastrophe, and I just want to say; I see you.
There's really no need for making this personal and hurling vugarities at people, or insulting anyone about their opinions. People have a right to complain about a product from any corporation when it doesn't deliver the quality they expect. Anyone is free to like what a corporation does, just like anyone is also equally free to dislike whatever a corporation does. I don't think anyone here has a personal stake in Daz corporation, so I really don't understand why some people are making it a personal battle against others here. I'll never understand those who stick up for authority figures who already have a disproportionate allotment of power. Especially when those who have a larger grip on that power would be perfectly happy defrauding the rest of us whenever they feel like it. Sticking up for "the man" is so played out.😂
@xialiubeigmail-com bitch, what you mean have some common decency? Do you not see or recognise the way you or the other two cohorts are talking about other people? Or do they not count because you don't consider them human beings, or because they're not here to see the shit you're talking?
@josiebethlewis2019 same shit to you. You talk about other humans like they're sub-human, like their lives don't matter, just because you don't agree with their lifestyles. You can't talk about another group of people the way you do and expect others to treat you with respect.I never said that. I simply said everyone has a right to live how they want unless it means they forcibly come into your house and tell you what you do with your own life. That's not even demeaning. That's just common sense, and it extends the most respect for human dignity. If you interpret that as a problem, then you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself how would your life improve if you could walk into anyone's home and force your opinions on them? Probably not at all, because people don't like that. It would probably make things worse. I never advocated for bullying others, but refraining from that and people being in charge of themselves only. That takes maturity. Try to understand what I'm saying instead of assuming I mean something I never meant.

You have no room to talk dude. For starters, People were just having a more CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATION, and yeah there are disagreements here and there, but there were no one trying to say People are beneath them, except you.

What "other people" did I talk about? You're making an emotional argument, not a logical one. None of my posts have been directed at an individual, nor a group of individuals. Please find and quote any post of mine where I was "talking about people" or being disrespectful of people.
AFAIK the only group of people I've ever spoken out against here are p3dos. The reason for that is becasue they believe in violating children. There's no dimension where violating anyone for any reason is ok. If that makes me an awful person, then what exactly does that say about who is offended by it? I think the same thing about those who initiate violence of any kind against anyone. Like serial killers, or r@pists, or those who wage wars of aggression (which is never the same as self defense). If someone thinks I'm an awful person for that, then what does that mean? Am I supposed to feel shame for insulting serial killers because I called out their horrible behavior?😂
Every issue I have with G9, stems from Grafts and Morphs.
I tried, I tried to like it. I've gone back multiple times just because how beautiful some of the models really look, but it's just... garbage.My latest trial had me taking one of those newer characters and trying to age them up a little, adding some crows feet, laugh lines, age lines. Lots of HD morphs to the face. Then I went and worked on the hands, adding the HD morphs there, then the knees, and when I went to add morphs to the stomach, the belly button was now inverted and inside out. How... how the hell do HD morphs that have nothing to do with the navel... fuck up the navel? And it wasn't like it was one single morph. There were dozens of them, each adjusting the navel minutely while also adjusting the face, the hands, or wherever it was supposed to adjust.
This was just another problem in a long list of problems with G9. Shapes, Morphs, anything that isn't the model AS IS, can screw up the asset in the dumbest ways.
I know there's a way to backport the characters from G9 to G8 and also backport the morphs so they might work better in G8 if you do that. It's complicated and means you have to export them, then reimport them as a G8 though.
