Whats a couple skins you favor? I'm getting better results with 8 skins.
I'm quite happy with the G8F skins from the better vendors.
As I have said before, I am just hoping we might see a G9 to G8.1F Character Conversion script, just for the morphs.
I doubt it will come from 'official' sources though.

I disagree.
The base textures look dull compared to Genesis8. The only way to get appealing to the eye results is to convert older textures that have more detail, or create you own.
Agree 100% IK. In fact much of the G9 texture maps are a huge step down from G8 or even V4.2..... bland, unrealistic and over-tanned like a Barbie Doll. That is surprising considering that G9 with its 8K textures was essentially built and advertised for the purpose close-up portraiture and enhanced "realism", evidenced by the neglect of the horrendous Gumby bending issues that the G9 model has for the rest of the body.
Perhaps its PAs that let team-Daz down with their poor quality skin maps, or they knew their market would buy anything new that came along. Probably a bit of both.Those things mentioned in the above posts are the reasons why I am sticking to G8F / G8.1F.
I might come over as scratched vinyl, but I am still hoping for a G9 to G8F Morph Only Character Converter script.

And to add to what you said. DAZ passed off low grade Normals for skin detail, even the Diffuse maps from all the vendors I've used are created from the base G9 character which makes them all look-alike.
Like Windows, G9 is broken and unlikly to be properly fixed.
Next is Genesis 11 once they've milked this one 😉You don't sound like a scratched record at all. I'm in the same corner and struggling to make the final leap over the Genesis9. Almost everything about G9 is holding me back.
In general, it would be interesting to conduct a survey among our community and find out the percentage of G9. To engage more users, not just those who read this thread, it would be cool if the survey was in the form of a pop-up window when visiting the site. What do you guys think?

Voted. I pretty much use G8 at the moment. It has allowed me to buy less lately. Gone 19 days without a purchase.
Yes, there are not many people who voted yet, but the result made me laugh. Another failure, as with NFT. I'm wondering if Tafi will continue to force PA to release only for G9, and I'm sure they are forcing, because it's not difficult for PA to add support for G8.
I was thinking along the lines of Windows when for no reason they jumped from 8 to 10 🙂

The sole reason for me using Genesis9 right now is to see what older generation textures look like when converted, so far so good but that's where the fun stops.
