I- Technical Skills
Is there a SINGLE focal element in the scene (High contrast, saturation, Camera Focus, Motion, Human figure or face)Are there any focal element helpers such as leading lines, diagonals, shapes, color
Is the composition well-structured with use of a structure such as the rule of thirds, the golden ratio, the pyramid, the diagonals, symmetry or full framingIs the image balanced (using symmetry or asymmetrical balance)
Is the lighting used effectively
II- Creativity: How do the skills, components, and elements communicate meaning?
1- EFFECTIVENESS and EMOTIONAL IMPACT:
Has this image had an emotional impact on you upon seeing it
To what extent has the artist managed to communicate MEANING
Is the message strong
What makes this image powerful/important/effective2- NEWNESS
Is this image Original or is it a blind imitation
What makes this image unique/new
Is the production devoid of any new element/idea
does the image communicate any aesthetic or cultural values
Are we learning something new from this imageWow! All of them are absolutely inspiring!
But there's no way I'd ever be a judge.
I'm partial to Asian Characters.
Even when they're kicked to the curb they still smile that come hither.Mistress in Red... I really shouldn't have crossed her.

Everyone said I was barking up the wrong tree. But I knew I had caught the right scent. There was no bones about it, I dogged him every step of the way and chased him down an alley. He got the drop on me and I barely had time to fetch my gun. This was one ruff situation
Sorry for the delay. I’ve been trying to reconcile donation declarations against points transferred for donations. Not matching up, but I’ll worry about that later.
The winners will be determined just like in the Olympic Games. There will be three winners. This seems appropriate considering the nature of the judging (as you will all see at contest close)

Im going to wait and see how the voting format is by watching Jasons vote. Ultimately i dont have the time or want to load every pic in photosop to make sure its mathematically prefect. I going to vote for what I like.
If a story is needed, i have one but, the title and image should be worth a 1000 words.
No story is required. If you want to add one, feel free. I think that it adds an interesting angle on the art. Who knows... inspiration for another competition?
A competition based off a short story or even a few words would be intetesting. For example, " It wasn't me!"
You Don't Have the Balls!
It was premier night for the play. Johnny knew where to find her. Her green room.
She was just as stunning as the day she walked into his PI office. She saw his reflection in the mirror and turned to face him with a stone cold expression of ice.
In contrast, the day they met she seemed vulnerable and in fear of her life. Her millionaire husband wanted her dead; she knew too much about his business dealings and he wanted her out of the way before she blew the whistle on everything. She was the proverbial "damsel in distress".
Turns out she was anything but...
Everything she said turned out to be a lie. She was the one with the shady past and present. She was the one who wanted her husband dead.
Seducing Johnny had been easy, she had a way with him that turned him into putty in her hands. She had even convinced him that the husband had to go, and he almost pulled the trigger himself. Luckily, he learned the truth before going through with it.
The husband still ended up with a bullet in his brain; the hitman she hired saw to that. And if Johnny didn't do something about it, he was next.
Her eyes dared him, "Come now Johnny, we both know you're weak. You might as well put the gun down because you don't have the balls to pull that trigger!"
That did it. Maybe the show would go on, but premier night was about to lose their star actress.
This is just for fun and not an entry. As one of the hosts, I don't want to enter and then judge my own work.
Most people probably vote for themselves and you're not forcing anyones vote. I cant see why you shouldn't enter it.
Other than you might beat me but, then there's always the next contest for me to try.I know... I'm weird about it, though. I encourage other hosts to enter their own contests and don't practice what I preach.
Just so that everyone knows, this won't be a voting process. I've been careful choosing my words. Every member will be a judge rather than a voter. Each entry will be scored. These are the wishes of the co-host, and I've really warmed up to the idea as well. Everything will be more apparent when submissions are closed.
Adam...the stuff Jason posts is only a guideline, what on earth made you think you had to measure each entry?.
Anyone who votes for themselves must be absolutely desperate and a complete and utter arsehole who should go stroke themselves in a corner somewhere.
