I realize that I am contributing to this hot mess by being offtopic, and about to complain about it while being offtopic: but could we possibly consider either a) just putting contest pics in contest posts, and making a secondary post about contest discussions to keep the thread on point? Or just not discuss politics, self esteem, random voting practices and general insults until after the contest is voted upon or something?

Also, threads that de-evolve like these are a solid reason why I am leery of commenting on anything here anymore.

The competition will be closed for submissions on March 12 at Midnight GMT. At contest closing, a new “judging” thread will be opened and you, the members of ZoneGFX, will judge each entry based on technical and creative aspects. Judging will close on March 15 at midnight GMT and the winners announced within 24 hours.

I apologize if I didn't do a good job making the deadlines clear.
