September 8, 2021 at 10:13 PM #1728236I spent 3 days or more on my racing suit. not to mention the day it took me to learn and rip the helmet from a actual helmet site. then blender and fit … so yeah almost a week for probably my best work. only to have nuttless klowns steal it in less than 24hrs.
That's exactly how vendors must feel when we steal from them.
So, can we stop the thieves you ask?
No. Because we are the thieves 🙂
September 6, 2021 at 8:32 AM #1727568In your case,I would recommend HP Z600. It would be a tremendous improvement considering the PC you're working on now (can't remember exactly but if memory serves me well, you have an older comp).
It's old, alright (2010-2012) but this beast have two processors (Intel Xeon X5670), each with 12 cores. That gives you 24 cores for CPU-based rendering.
Excert from a review published in Digital Art Live, No 47:
"3Delight - A scene of 3400px multipass renders with Light Dome Pro-R took 5 minutes."
"iRay - Same scene using 'Interactive' for the viewport makes it more responsive but using Photoreal iRay for rendering appears to give better light-bounce quality and thus can lighten the scene shadows. Render time - 6 minutes."
"Poser - Firefly" - Amazing results were had, once the settings were increased to maximum. Yes, really... It appears that the Xeons are actually held back by using the low/fast settings! Just set firefly to automatic/Final MAx.+ then switch over to manual, increase bucket size to a massive 512, nudge down the ray-tracing samples a touch (6 to 4), and watch the Z600 tear through a 1800px render in about four seconds!"
This is a very robust piece of hardware, components are common and easily replaced, almost military-grade build quality. It will last you 5-6 years. You will need an SSD drive, though, to run Windows 10. They usually come with 12 gigs of RAM, but you can stuff it with up to 96 gigs.
This thing turns an overnight render into a ten-minute render. I've seen it with my own eyes.
The best part - You can get it for less than 400€. Refurbished.
HP Z600 - Definitely the biggest bang you can get for your buck!

In relaxed, still poses, the leg that is bent never holds the weight.
November 2, 2020 at 10:15 PM #1639387No need to apologize Mr. Monk. Without your posts there would be very little for me to download from here 🙂
August 22, 2020 at 10:20 AM #1622183This entry is, definitely, a "Hall of Fame" material 🙂
May 24, 2020 at 11:44 AM #1604154Unfortunately not. As far as I know, old posts are promoted by a plugin, which then assigns a new date to a post that has been promoted. So, once the post has been promoted to the top it's been treated as a new post, with a recent date.
So, old posts become young, then slowly sink to the bottom, then become young again, and so on... The saga continues.
For this site, it takes about a year for the full circle to happen. I know because my old posts have been promoted in about a year time after they were originally posted.
As the number of posts increases, so does the time for the full circle to complete.

August 28, 2019 at 7:35 PM #1222294I'll give you a hint. Does it say: "Get this Post for only 50.00"?
Besides, why don't you click "Show Download Link" button and find out for yourself?
Live a little.
August 22, 2019 at 7:23 PM #1214000Praxiteles made the sculpture of Aphrodite in the 4th century BC. It was the first female full-figure nude ever.
When a young man saw it he "became so aroused by the statue that he forced himself upon it, leaving the stain of lust on her thigh".
He later threw himself over a cliff to his death in shame.

Is there anyone here who uses Daz3d for signs, graphics, decals or anything other than porn? I would like to here some of your stories on how you use Daz3d. Personally I think Daz is a great reference tool for artists and a perfect previz tool for concept art.
I'm using it for illustrations. Using renders as a starting point for paintings.

July 11, 2019 at 4:45 AM #1156791Here is the .pdf file, all 538 characters. More comfortable to browse than images. Now, with searchable Excel file and a PDF, hopefully, things should be easier to find.
