Both sides, as in Mac and PC?
To be very honest, I have never used a Mac, so I would not be able to help you with that in any way shape or form. I have absolutely no idea what their file structure is like, and I would only steer you wrong if I triedIf you are referring to the install manager, yes, it works off the Daz store db in that it will automatically download and install items that you have purchased through the website. If you have items [installed with IM] that were not purchased, it will actually update them if an update is available.
It will also install items that are in IM format that you create, but obviously, if there are any updates, you would have to re-create the file and re-install the package.
The install manager will also handle the studio program updates as they come available.
As for Daz Central, I cannot comment since I do not use it.The worst part about it? The entire path is right there to lead you to it, no typos, no extra spaces, no extra slashes or characters...
Maybe the dog took it out for a short walk while we weren't looking...
Typically, when I have something I can't find, I look it up in DIM, right click the item then go to 'Show Installed Files...'
In the window that pops up, it shows me exactly where the files got 'placed', and if they are even there; i.e., if they are not where they belong, then they show up grayed out and italicized.
I realize that this sounds a little like a convoluted process to go through to find something, but considering the fact that I hate using the search function in studio, coupled to the fact that I use DIM for almost everything I install for studio, it makes sense to use it this way.On a side note, if you know you have the file in your DAZ Download folder but it's not showing up in DIM, then there is a problem with the file and may need repair before DIM will 'see' it. Also, file naming is quite important (which I found out recently). The file name consists of two letters followed by eight digits, a hyphen, two more digits (typically -01), an underscore, and the name of the item consisting of upper and lowercase letters and/or numbers. Spaces and special characters are NOT allowed in an IM file name.
LOL...if I thought it would really do me any good, I probably would. But seeing as how some of these people actually have server farms with rooms full of boxes with dozens of vid cards each??? yeah, it probably wouldn't even be worth my time to set something like that up. I would probably have better luck finding alien life with SETI @ Home... 😀

Funny thing is, I'm paying almost $100 less than I paid for a GTX1060 6G GDDR5 3 years ago!! 😀I use Mediafire, and [knocking on wood] haven't lost a file yet
That being said, I DO have a paid-for account there which I pay 45 USD annually.I get it...I have to do as much as I can in rendering, since I really suck at post production... 😀
I think your Addams family [so far] is spot on! Thing has got plenty of arm showing, and if I'm not mistaken, Itt only came up to Gomez's chest. I used to watch this series as a kid and absolutely loved it. I had to look up the original series on IMDB since the only Wednesday that came to mind was Christina Ricci. I'm thinking that maybe in order to get that 'tween to twenty' look you might start with a SASE character and work from there...just my $0.005 worth 😀
I'm hella jealous myself...I was trying for that same shuffle - trying for the EVGA and the Gigabyte @ $600 USD. Wasn't selected for either one of them...
I don't use a VPN... to me, they are more trouble than I wish to deal with. Still think it boils down to cookies - portableApps typically won't retain them, so I deal with captcha when I come here. As long as I stay active while my browser has the zone on it, I don't have too many problems - otherwise I get the 're-submit information', like the site is trying to log me out...
