Aight they still haven't fully fixed display scaling properly.
The universal DrawStyle mode has proper scaling while IRay render mode is still jagged and pixelated, when displayed on a 4K monitor with 150% scaling. I don't understand why they're half-assing the scaling fixes. Either that or, they didn't even attempt to fix it at all, and the reason why some scalings are made proper now is simply due to the Qt migration from v4 to v6.
I'm more concerned about whether if all existing scripts/products that rely on scripts would work in DS6 or not. Things like Look at Me II, Pose Details are very handy tools and I need to know whether if everything works before even trying to move to DS6

Your anonymity preference doesn't exactly matter in a sharing circle. Wanna stay anonymous? Go ahead. Wanna show your gov ID? Kind people here would stop you from doing so since all of us are already anonymous to begin with.
We are over-complicating this too much. There ain't "eager fillers", and again, no such thing like "distribution rights", "x and y rights" and so on. Just simple decency. What's the diff between 200,000 points and 2,000,000 points? Means fuck all mate. All of you are contributors by that time, just one is a bigger contributor than the other.
People are simply using their money to buy stuffs they want to collect and use, in addition to sharing it to other people who requested for it as well. That is extra decency already. Agree to disagree, let's settle down with a mutual understanding: Share amongst each other. Keep blatant leeching away. A pirate in the same vessel doesn't smuggle goods to another pirate ship. These goods will be opened for all after some time. Pirates work together to feed each other, not beggars.
I've suggested something in the very first reply to this thread: granting 100 daily points to members with a track record of contributions. Instead of making ranks useless, one may consider that when you reach lv2, you'll get em 100 points daily.
There's no business model here. No tax being paid, no 401k involved, no contract. No assigned right, no distribution right, no license needed. It's not complicated and complex like many would hope to be. Either you share, or you dash. Door's open if you contribute, or closed if you don't.
It's not fair to a person because said person has never contributed anything onto the table. He who gets pinched feel the pain. This should've been done long ago.
Many here have tried very hard NOT to attempt on filling any request, which is the source of anything you'd download from, by giving various excuses ranging from being in poverty to assuming that to get points, it can only be done via cash and BTC donation, and still refuse to acknowledge the existence of filling request, and attempt to at least fill a <=10$ request.
I hope you'll start your contribution from now on, and soon after you'll see that the daily 100-points-related arguments here are really inconsequential. Post it onto the public blog to share further after 2-30 days. So that people don't have to actively spend to fill requests. You fill, you're good. That simple. The person who filled a request, will be the person who gets to post it onto the blog. Hence why the auto-posting system after x days is in place. Simple decency. Too idealistic huh?
For those who wanna post onto other leeching sites? Great, fill some of the requests, get yourself a handful of hundred thousand points, post them to public blog, grab them off the public blog some time after. The people who own these leeching sites are getting ad and click revenues. These revenues could've, in turn, contribute into making sure new contents flow actively. But you know, they don't.
Speaking of piracy, some do wholly believe that it means seeders are obliged to be leeched and nothing else. I've said the same thing in another thread, a majority of leeches expect a robin hood scenario everywhere they go.
Something to be reminded of, is that private trackers exist for a reason. You think piracy is all rainbow and sunshine? Wanna leech? Then SEED. Some of these trackers even specifically calculate seeding time in addition to ratio. You spend less time in seeding than leeching? Ratio is less than 1? Leaked some of the files out? Get your ass banned and fuck right off.
There must be something you'd like to see filled, which hasn't been filled already. That's the sole purpose many of you lurk here, to get something you want.
Then FILL it. After filling it, set a timer between 2-30 days, then post it to the public blog. Let me tell you, this action alone banks ~10,000 points (filled points + public points), if not more.
There are 100 pages of unfilled requests. Pick your poison. Some of them are less than 10$ with >10,000 points accumulated.
Not everyone is rich and could afford a thousands of these items. That's so true, couldn't agree more. That is precisely why we share amongst each other. That is, precisely, why freeloaders are usually being gate-kept by many sharing circles, including loads of private tracker out there, because they contribute nothing on putting their shares onto the table.
I really don't mind not getting the free 100 points daily. You'd get so much more even if you fill only 1 request. There could be a way to improve this though, such as by having members who actively contribute be placed into "verified members" pool. Only verified members would get free 100 points daily. Ranking filter comes into mind, e.g. level 2 and above.
On an unrelated note, I just realised someone is willing to dox himself on purpose. Young dumb & broke
@Bad_mojo Which is why when I fill a request, I'd schedule a post immediately but with delay e.g. 1 week, 2 weeks or even up to a month and result in no re-request (most of the time). Sure, lesser points to be obtained via these re-requests but I usually fill things that I want, while the points are a nice-to-have. But that's just my way and it doesn't apply to others with their own reasons.
And this isn't fool-proof though, as it merely mitigates the situation mentioned here. There will still be people who don't respect basic, simple rules. Oh and yes, even when you're sailing the high seas, the mates are expected to be civilized and respect each other. What would they do for those who don't? Asked to walk the plank, usually.
There are instances when you ask to not reshare as you'll post it sometime after, some people would still do it for the sake of "credits". I've came across this type of people once, and dare I say such motherfuckers must have created other dupe accounts here already.
Ultimately this is a cat and mouse game, and this kind of act needs to be reported once spotted no matter if you're a requester or a filler spotting one such instance.
@Thedamnthing honestly I find the topology of G9 no better than G8 anyway. it doesn't suck but it isn't better.
G8 could benefit from increased polycount (by doubling it), with a little fixes around (such as the diagonal quad used to add new columns of quad near the thigh area), but the topology itself is good especially the joints and chest.
G9 however has HUGE issues with the chest area. Not to forget the navel area is just a simple quad. The rest of the body is very identical to G8 in terms of topology itself, but being denser, hence not requiring merging/joining as much.
In turn, this makes stuffs such as headlights (discounted B-tacular, it replaces only the nips area) difficult because now it's just a patch of squares and may result in bad, sharp cornering edges. But with a full graft swap with B-tacular it won't be much of a problem as there are loops that run around the chest, just not the nips.
Honestly its only upside against G8 is the mesh density. Not topology.
I will wait until the end of year to try out G9. The only thing which may attract me is the higher polycount, so I don't, theoretically, have to think too much compared to G8 when I tinker and make my own custom morphs with Blender.
Honestly disappointed because they're simply jumping into AI bandwagon blindly just like what they did on their NFTs. instead of using AI to supplement Daz Studio to accelerate workflows such as AI IK/FK solvers, quick AI retouching on rendered images, and perhaps even speed up their shitty OpenCL dForce with AI (which unfortunately for them, it requires innovation), they went for the simplest approach of all from the current AI boom: generative prompt-to-image. Probably simply grabbed some boilerplate LLMs offsite, did a bit of customizations, trained with images of their G9 shit, then plug it into their server. There you go, $4/mo.
The fix I sent fixes both aforementioned hairs if anyone's curious. install order "matters" because I think there's some other hairs which might not have actually fixed the shader, but somehow marked as "fixed", hence overwriting the fixed dsf back to the unfixed one.
