Oh wow, thanks. The Krea AI works perfectly for what I need.
I wish there was just a software I could purchase that would do it but this works great for now.
April 2, 2024 at 10:35 PM #2068158Is there a way to copy a genesis 9 figure to use with genesis 8? I like the Vera model that was posted here a few days ago but I still do not like genesis 9. I would love to be able to use that model on genesis 8 and with the expressions as well if possible.
Thanks.
April 24, 2023 at 2:24 AM #1960829I agree with that Leidustraum. But that clarifies it for me. I've noticed a lot of stuff looking way to similar lately.
April 7, 2023 at 2:54 AM #1952893I haven't found any skin textures that I like on G9 except for the Victoria 9 but it seems to only do great with red heads.
April 4, 2023 at 11:36 PM #1951812Frederrick, yes, I am as well considering deleting all of the Genesis 9 characters and just using G8. I might try G8.1 even though I've heard a lot of complaints about G8.1, still doesn't seem as bad as G9. I have a very high end computer and I still can't get as good of results from G9 characters that I can from G8 characters.
Maybe they will make G10F and G10M soon? Hopefully next week, lol. (Kidding) Actually would be happier if they just made DAZ 5 and did a massive overhaul and make good decisions about it.
Anyway, thanks everyone. I was just curious as to what everyone was thinking.
April 3, 2023 at 3:42 AM #1950716Redflag, I agree. That's another thing I didn't even think about. DAZ seems to be falling behind. I think we need DAZ 5 asap. Of course, that's only if they address common concerns that most have.
April 1, 2023 at 9:45 AM #1949715I definitely agree with Eelgoo and Charley about the female body morphs. They seem very unnatural. Maybe trying to combine male and female into one just wasn't a good idea? I don't know but I'm not enjoying G9 and its not for lack of trying it out. But yeah, I've just noticed there doesn't seem to be excitement or enthusiasm about G9 as there was G8, G3 or even G8.1. It just seems like everyone yawned on G9.
January 16, 2023 at 8:23 PM #1914662Thanks for the help everyone. I'm having zero luck with this though. I right clicked the materials to check the path and it is correct. I've created a test folder and put it on my desktop and still nothing. I had someone send me a link to re-download it and that didn't work either, it was the same that I had anyway. I tested the new download and it didn't work either. It seems to only be a small amount of hair figures giving me the issue.
January 16, 2023 at 5:21 AM #1914356Hey enjoyify, I tried that as well but no luck. Do you have geometry shell layers with yours? Frank had suggested that it might need that. I'm just asking because I don't have a file for any of the Linday hairstyles, including the ones that work and the ones that don't work.
January 16, 2023 at 3:37 AM #1914341Hey Frank, this hairstyle doesn't have any geometry shell layers that can be loaded. Another hair model from the same designer (Linday), "Classic Long Curly Hair" works fine and I'm able to load the color textures fine for it. I just can't get the other hair models to load different color textures.
August 9, 2022 at 11:44 PM #1850843Thank you for the advice and tips everyone. It is very much appreciated.
August 8, 2022 at 9:33 PM #1850301I found this video on the topic of indoor lighting and found it helpful. Thought I'd share it.
August 6, 2022 at 4:18 AM #1847387Thank you for the replies. Yeah, I'm enjoying render times on the new one. The old desktop might take 30 to 45 minutes even more for one character, hair, and clothes but with no background objects or anything like that. One character, hair, and clothes is like 30 to 45 seconds in my test so far.
June 26, 2022 at 3:04 PM #1824008Will having a lot of assets and morphs in my content library slow down renders?
June 23, 2022 at 12:20 AM #1822631Thank you Amber, I'll look into that late to make sure I have it updated. I've been trying apply just regular character skins to my figures.
