    @eelgoo That's completely fine and everyone should do that if G9 is not what they expect.

    I'm having a longer break right now from DAZ because I don't want to work more on G8 (I personally dislike G8.1 for different reasons, not worth any discussion) and G9 is too far away to play further with that specific model. G9 facial expressions are way too good to go back to G8. Some ideas are there but not the tools and I'm a way too stupid for creating things like morphing sets or textures.

    We get what it can do, what it misses right now and content will come like years ago with G8.

    @Goblyn There isn't as much content as we'd expect right now but if it just takes time, I'll happy to wait.

    But your point about cost and content is pretty much the same as many others stated. DS even on discount is expensive. G9 is in fact not that great right now with some things but other things are great. It'll be not perfect for everyone but also not bad for anyone. G9 somehow makes people either hating or loving it lol.

    Edit: This skin resource looks promising for the beginning - https://www.daz3d.com/sy-flexible-skins-and-merchant-resource-for-genesis-9

    G9 corresponds pretty good on bending within limits especially on things like flexes. They did really good and it looks quite realistic. G9 needs to be a little thinner/leaner though. The mass isn't that much lowered in perspective while G8F was thin in comparison. I hope you get what I mean.

    Growing Up always had some sliders to erase some weight and it does work. G9 looks much better but we need to wait for better morphs.

    @Kafka
    no thanks needed but appreciated, you did the work 🙂

    Had now a good chance to work with G9, V9 and some morphing tests. The breast area has definitely huge problems. I'm way too bad to sculpt them somewhat as good as the G8 base model without morphs.

    @Kefka
    It looks like G8 was just a little leaner in comparison to G9 on some parts.

    @eelgoo

    Somehow I got that feeling too. But it's hard to tell right now if the feminine/masculine fan doesn't get what they want right now and I wish G9 will be good for all of it. What we see and/or know right now, your reply contains most likely the truth.

    Personally I'm happy with every new advancement because only if you go a (renewed) way, you can gain something better.

    You've misinterpreted my opinion to a certain point, although you've got valid points. Thanks for that.

    Let's go back a few years. What was the baseline?
    Forcing two separate ways (male/female, G3, G8, V4 etc.), which somewhat made it worse for creators to create stuff for neutral chocies. In perspective: I've bought a transgender morph set to display and mirror modern lifestyle choices. It is - at least for me - still a mystery why we need to chose a gender or haircut depending on the previously chosen gender if it doesn't matter in art. G8.1 completely missed the chance to somewhat mix those bags. G9 does it as far as I can tell but we need to see how it works out. And I don't want to talk about the money-grabbing tactic(s) behind it because if no one would buy it, they'd know they've made crap (winking at G8.1).

    With G9 you can create for example a shirt and it could be masculine but also feminine. You decide how to use it, all the creators set their own baseline but we as users can decide how to use it. I'm really excited for all the new creations and a lot of free space for creativity without reinventing the wheel which I did way too often with Blender and certain cross-gender stuff.

    If it works like they've anticipated we could set with the G9 model a new standard even though it's way too small in general use and needs a lot of time before G8 isn't good enough for the 90% of users.

    Yeah, not a lot of content. They should've at least got 2-3 creators on new characters when relasing it.

    I'm astonished by the control of facial expressions, feels a lot more realistic.

    Body morphs confuse me a little bit now, because all base female morph isn't as "feminine" as G3/G8 if that makes sense. Breasts are really bad and I hope there are some morphs very soon, the V9 Model isn't attractive.

    I'm all for the androgyny morph thing and I guess DAZ tests this field out. Most artists and/or creators don't care about sexuality that much so... We'll see what content goes to G9 and what's new. I really hope, G9 gets better with time because G8 has a lot of limitations which G9 may could overcome with that androgyny morph.

    "Midgets" are also now a thing. They do look incredible realistic.

    Diversity is the baseline for G9.
