Going by Renderhub forum it would seem none of the vendors were even warned this might happen (As usual).
Like the above replies mention; largely down to G9 been released in middle of the woke agenda driven uglification push, which some working with Daz decided to follow for a good while.
Enshittification is the bigger issue now, what with the quality control of Daz store releases dropping off a cliff.
Tried G9 out a few month’s after release; and decided to avoid for a good while as I was pissed off at the thought of having to install absolutely loads of morphs/add-ons just to fix the appalling base genesis 9 model. Recently had some spare time to once again try G9 and I’ve finally got the model to a usable state via the now plentiful various morphs available. So now flip between G8/8.1 and G9 dependent on render needs, and mothballed G3.
Far as I’m aware G9 has always been considered better for portrait/close ups/expressions, if not much else.
Quality has been slowly dropping off for the last 2 years, overall the standard of releases have taken a real nose dive within the last 6 to 12 months.
Heels request was filled a while ago but never posted to blog, fresh request or take up darkangelhack's offer.
I assume wolfgang is referring to the person who was bumping the entire ROMFX + 3DUK library of as yet unfilled character requests, and was doing it several times a day.
Couple of those effected have confirmed Renderhub accounts deleted without any warning.
NathanPrescott said he is moving everything to FoRender, BlopBlopFish started a Patreon, and Guhzcoituz is now on Gumroad.
Sonne was 100% gone/down when I looked earlier; have some chars on my hub wishlist and none were showing up at the time or available to buy...
Edit: yes I'm aware that is not the case now, however when I checked my wishlist hours ago Sonne stuff was not showing up, at all.
BlopBlopFish & Sonne removed too, both of them released quality.
Dumitas & RKstudio have survived the cull, somehow...
Always found the 11gb on my former 2080ti was easily saturated as I tend to render fairly large scenes with detailed backgrounds, so would have to compromise scene detail to avoid problems. On the 3090 have yet to push much past around 20gb total usage with any scene.
So, if like you say 3090ti can be yours for below average used price for the card; yes it'll be worth the move if you are saturating the 3080 memory.
