No, default folder. I got it working now, the problem was the content folder and me not using an installer.
Thanks everyone!! 🙂
January 25, 2020 at 11:45 PM #1442515Ah... okay, I get it. If it can't read the content folder, then why is every Daz item in a content folder? Makes very little sense...
I'm not using the Installer, For one, I'm old fashioned, I like to have control over what goes on, for the other, if I remember correctly the content manager installs all the genesis files and I didn't want that yet, I just wanted to try something out.
January 25, 2020 at 8:45 PM #1442282Yeah, I just bingewatched the clone wars TV series... sooo much better than the prequel films!
The sky is actually a photograph of an actual nebula. I rendered each character individually and stuck them on the picture. Then I used lots of layers of the nebula (almost one per character) and played with the magic eraser tool. It's really quite easy to do.
I think I should add some spaceships though, but I'm worried about having the scene be too crowded...
January 23, 2020 at 6:20 AM #1438296Thanks, though I only wanted to quickly show what is possible in postwork. The whole image isn't done yet, it's just something I'm working on atm.
January 23, 2020 at 5:41 AM #1438269So, basically, since my computer sucks,
I need to keep my Scene as simple as possible...Not really, you just need to tweak your render settings.
I'm on a 10-year old computer and I just made this render in Poser.

The rendering process took 2 minutes. Took me longer to get the spoon into the guys mouth! 😀
(Still a wip)
I didn't use SSS shaders on it, but if I did, it would only have taken about a minute more.I could completely overdo it with lights and render settings, spend days setting up a million lights and spend even more days figuring out how the light should bounce off the glass or the armor correctly... or I could just set up two lights, render it and be happy with the result - which is what I did.
Your picture looks like it's very overlit. You could achieve the same, if not a better result by just using simple lights and render settings and then editing it in Photoshop.

This is the very same image I had rendered earlier, I just gave it a bit of grain and tweaked the contrast and shadows in PS.(I'm not criticizing you, just explaining a few things)
