I always install manually. It's the folder structure that is sometimes off from what it should be, but there's no way to avoid that without potentially ruining the install. It would be nice if the program had a feature where you could move stuff from within DS in the library tree.

I just stick to my own rigid file hierarchy.

    I make it fit. 🙂

I always install manually because I've been doing this since DS 1.0 came out in '05, and in Poser since the late 90s before. I started doing it because Smart Content didn't exist back then, and because it seems like every vendor somehow thinks they deserve their own top-level directory.

RKS models are probably one of the the best lookalike models I have ever seen, but has anyone tried them? Do they remain recognizable under different lights/angles/hairs?

Well... not that much. Their faces are, at most, 'slightly recognizable with different hair/light/pose/camera. Bodies are the most generic thing possible.
The problem with 'look-alike' charactera is that the moment they are not so look-alike it's quite strange and uncomfortable.

A great resource for sorting through models of look alikes is this page.

The Celebrity Series (anything with CS in front of a number) is one I avoid though. They all look off, gives me uncanny valley vibes.

Chella is Rachel Zegler and April is Aubrey Plaza (as @littleevie mentioned).

Maxine is Sadie Sink (portrays Max in Stranger Things) and Sarah is Emilia Clarke (portrays Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys).

Funny how most RKS characters are simply HID's or other PA's lookalikes merged.

    Example:
    >Take RKS Sarah Head to 100% and screenshot.

    >Remove RKS Sarah head and merge HID Sally Head with Dracarys Head from Sangriant.

    >Add whatever morph used for the cranium. Screenshot and compare.

Boom you literally made RKS Sarah xd.

Here's another Max from Stranger Things

So many Emilia Clarkes have been all over. Tons of them have been taken down repeatedly. It's so ridiculous because I think I've literally tried to get every single one of them before they got taken down at one point, and now I can't seem to find any of the older versions on my drives. I'd love to compare them all and see which one is the closest.

Well, when you are modelling a likeness, surely it is inevitable that different versions will look similar.

It is kind of the point.

    🙂
