I think it is a great shame these are not for the G8F base. :0/
September 14, 2025 at 1:52 PM #2145161All good, just sharing.
Is G8 better to work with?
September 14, 2025 at 7:43 PM #2145217Brecca is based on Brec Bassinger, who played Stargirl in some obscure TV show. Katyana is based on an influencer, it's not Katherine Langford/amber heard, etc.
This guy is converting the models he made for some others soft to Daz, you can have a good idea of what is coming next here: https://www.renderhub.com/rkstudioSeptember 14, 2025 at 9:50 PM #2145235Yes, G8 is a more reliable product. Easier to morph & pose nicely.
September 14, 2025 at 11:31 PM #2145246I find G8 easier to work with than G9.
September 15, 2025 at 11:47 PM #2145370@khefrenn Thanks for that, I really couldnt find the Brecca look alike.
I found his previous work a couple of months ago but I cant find the website.
Ill update the list.
September 15, 2025 at 11:48 PM #2145371September 16, 2025 at 12:48 AM #2145374Since you can get a lot of stuff for "free" here, I suggest you test both G8 and G9 and see things by yourself.
I'm using G9 since a while, and I believe lots of people are still stuck in the past, 2 years a go when the model was out with little no options. I don't have any issue or trouble morphing or posing G9. It's enough morphs packs available to allow you to do pretty much what you want to do, and this is coming from someone who like to recreate some "custom" version of existing characters with his own twist.
Some people will say you shouldn't have to put extra work in a new generation, alright. But once you toy with things and know what to do, it's pretty much the same routine to add the same extra morphs to enhance the model, and it's litteraly 2 minutes when setting a scene.
You will also hear about women looking like men and vice versa. I don't know exactly which model they used, because once again, I don't come across this kind of trouble. And I like women to look like women AND to look sexy, and men like men, so does people following me on DA. So far, I didn't have any complaint about that from any of them. RKS, HID, IST and lots of others creators make good looking G9 women, I don't think any of Koo's male models can be mistaken with a woman, so does Julius 9, Callum 9, and the list could go on.If some creators decide to go from a more androgynous look, this is not on the model, that is called a choice.
So G9 is not perfect, but G8/G8.1 was not perfect as well.September 16, 2025 at 12:16 PM #2145446Out of curiosity, I checked out the vendor's page. Of the ten or so models I checked out, they all had the same body. He does a pretty good job on the face, but appears to spend zero time on body morphs.
September 16, 2025 at 12:43 PM #2145453Ditto with the G9 Vicey3D models. Probably others as well.
The bodies all look the same.
Whether it is just laziness or if there are real issues with G9 body morphing, I don't know.
:0/
September 16, 2025 at 12:56 PM #2145455My call is it's laziness. I have most of his models, well at least the ones I was interested in.
It's different bodies when the model have specific body features like the Sydney Sweeney model he released, or the Scarjo one. For models with a more average body, it's the same with tweaks. So not completely identical despite what you might think while looking at the promo pics. I can tell cos I had several of his girls loaded in one scene to see something.
And once again, there is no real issue morphing G9: if a mere Daz user like me can get what he want toying with embed tools, I don't see how creators would struggle. Especially as you make uour model in a 3rd party soft, then rig it for G9 or G8.September 16, 2025 at 10:29 PM #2145499New model Brooke is 100% based on Brooke Shields.
BTW, here is the link to the other store, I mixed up things on my previous post putting the link to the RH store
https://cubebrush.co/afra7studioSeptember 17, 2025 at 3:02 AM #2145520Ksenia Solo?! I do dig this guy's taste. The promos don't look great though otherwise I might pay for it. Does Renderhub have big sales like Renderosity? I only buy stuff during 50% off sales.
September 17, 2025 at 8:35 AM #2145560The models on the Cubecrush site are not for Daz. That is why promo pics looks like that: it's just 3d models not rigged for any soft yet.
My 2 cents is he's porting them to Daz, rigging them and converting the textures. That is why we get that much characters in the last 2 months.he already has this amount of 3d models ready, and tweaking them for Daz doesn't require the same amount of work as starting from scratch. -
