My new-ish computer is used for graphics and games and doesn't ever go online. She runs Win7 64 bit and has no anti-anything. She boots from cold in seconds and runs like an eager little puppy. I can run Studio for days with no crashes or lock-ups. I don't ever. ever update it.
Each time I build a new computer, the old one becomes my internet machine. I dual boot it with Windows but it normally runs Linux. I used to share the monitors through a KVM switch but it finally broke down. Good thing monitors are now so cheap. Both computers use two screens with the older (beater) ones on the left side for crap stuff and the newer (and better) one on the right where I do important stuff.
