They say that if you travel far enough into the lowlands of Transylvania, beyond the marshes and swamps, through the mists of despair to the far mountains, you may find a single solitary castle. Guarded legend claims, by a dragon!
Home to the last Vampire Queen, Vampi!
It is said that once a year on All Hallows Eve, Vampi travels to a secluded spot within the marshes to visit the graves of loved ones past.
None can resist her desires, or their eventual fate should they venture too close! Her trophies mark their passing, and her loss.
@aftyrbyrn : I won't know who voted because you don't need to sign in or anything to have access to the survey, but I'll be able to see the votes at all time. For example, if you vote and comment on an image, I will see what rating you gave and the comments but I won't be able to know that it's you who did it. Voting is anonymous, no username needed.
My great person
Friends,
I would like to introduce you to a great man in my world.
__Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi__
Born 2 October 1869
Died 30 January 1948 (aged 78)Born and raised in a Hindu merchant caste family in coastal Gujarat, India, and trained in law at the Inner Temple, London, Gandhi first employed nonviolent civil disobedience as an expatriate lawyer in South Africa, in the resident Indian community's struggle for civil rights.
Employing nonviolent civil disobedience, Gandhi led India to independence and inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
The honorific Mahatma (Sanskrit: "high-souled", "venerable") applied to him first in 1914 in South Africa is now used worldwide.
In India, he is also called Bapu (Gujarati: endearment for father, papa) and Gandhi ji, and unofficially known as the Father of the Nation. After his return to India in 1915, he set about organising peasants, farmers, and urban labourers to protest against excessive land-tax and discrimination.
Assuming leadership of the Indian National Congress in 1921, Gandhi led nationwide campaigns for various social causes and for achieving Swaraj or self-rule.Albert Einstein — Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth. (said of Mahatma Gandhi)
Gandhi's birthday, 2 October, is commemorated in India as Gandhi Jayanti, a national holiday, and worldwide as the International Day of Nonviolence.
And now we can see many Gandhi Jayanti status around the world.
