Why is it that 90% of the female pose sets out there assume these ladies are wearing heels? For that matter, why the hell do 'action' poses and outfits invariably have high heels? How the hell is a woman cop or superhero supposed to chase and take down villains in those things?

This is fantasy and in many male fantasies, ALL women wear gorgeous, scrumptious, delicious and totally impractical but beautiful heels all the time. This has been mentioned many, many (ad nauseam) times in the Daz forums (maybe by you?) and it always brings the same answer from PA's...they sell and folks constantly ask for them.
Yum!.....more heels PLEASE!I'm probably in the minority, but I always like to see appropriate practical sensible footwear.
Out of place high heels just ruin the plausibility of an outfit, and break any credibility for me; especially if it is used in a story context.
I can safely speak for all pervs that practicality doesn't matter, we're in it solely for the look, to feed our fantasies. Warrior women always take their time to put on makeup, do their hair, and choose completely inappropriate footwear before heading off to battle.

You'd think that the PAs could take a bit extra time and INCLUDE a Heel Version, and a sensible boot/shoe asset to INCLUDE in their product.
I usually swap out the shoes anyway.
I suppose none of this is any different than those skimpy jock straps on incredibly muscular, V-shaped males with huge arms, ripped arms, thighs like Heracles and hung like a stallion, based on the size of the bulge in his thong...
Occasionally, I see females built that way as well. To each their own, I suppose.
I myself prefer the Isle of Lesbos, where heels have never existed...😁 (Now I suppose someone will post a link to a Greco-Roman bare-chest-and-big-breast biblical sword-and-sandal-fantasy outfit with high-heeled sandals 😆)

Can't say what all I've come across ;DI've had this issue too with all poses being for high heels.
I usually use a reset foot script...I don't know where I got it from ( probably a z mega pose with option to reset just the foot pose ) but it really helps.Heels aren't as impractical as you'd think. I saw a ladies self defence video once that showed that the average woman can exert a force of many hundreds of PSI on the heel. A lady can pierce a work boot with her heel if she stomps down on it. The idea is when some scumbag grabs her from behind, she raises her leg and stomps down on his foot HARD! with her heel. He'll release her as he sinks to the ground screaming in pain with a nice hole in his foot.
Forget the people in the heels, it is the heels themselves.
