@Frank22 Creepy Santa indeed. Must be the same Santa from my render, just taking it to the next level lol
January 7, 2022 at 4:29 PM #1764829Thank you, @Frank22 and @Lucafeelgood
January 7, 2022 at 4:18 PM #1764820I absolutely adore her, she has the cutest face! Great work! I can't wait to see the final result but she already looks perfect. Will you share when she is done?
January 4, 2022 at 3:49 PM #1763902Thank you to @lapucelle for organizing this contest and putting the time and effort, I know it's not easy.
Thank you to @plebby, @ethiopia, @coolcat, @duval99, @monkseye, and @doodlebug for the huge pot of points.
And finally, thank you to everyone who voted and well done to everyone who entered. Being a new artist, I have some great inspiration to pull from all the talented entries. Hopefully we can have more contests soon, this was really getting my creative gears turning. I may post my third entry to Art Showcase, as I was ill at the time and in no shape to submit it for the final contest entry.Anyway, Happy New Year all! Let's make 2022 a great year
December 15, 2021 at 12:47 AM #1757906Agreed, thank you for running the competition and everyone who donated points!
My week 2 entry is titled: Early Christmas Morning
December 13, 2021 at 11:46 PM #1757651@Frank22 Excellent! I appreciate the advice. I had previously tried a mirror from a different set with no issue, so I didn't even think to check. But yours is the perfect solution!
December 13, 2021 at 11:44 PM #1757650@SkippyTheMeh That's a fantastic idea that hadn't even crossed my mind. I wasn't liking the way spotlights were looking when I really wanted the whole body lit. I will try this on my next scene. Thank you!
December 13, 2021 at 3:58 PM #1757566@SkippyTheMeh Thank you for your suggestion and in-depth reply! I am noticing in my renders that my characters are not as well lit as I want them to be. I will have to find a way to add spotlights that not only light up my character but doesn't look too much like a random light shining from nowhere!
December 13, 2021 at 3:51 PM #1757565Thank you for third place! And congrats to everyone who entered, really good work!
December 11, 2021 at 5:17 AM #1756898@AnjaBear Thank you!
@Frank21 I agree, but unfortunately I noticed it after the render. Rookie mistake, I guess lol but I'll be sure to pre-check everything in Iray before I final render
December 11, 2021 at 5:14 AM #1756896Well she just made that bed! But she's definitely dreaming about being unwrapped 😉
December 9, 2021 at 9:25 PM #1756451Hello, my name is Hayleigh! (Please don't mind my username, I was being cheeky at setup and didn't realize I would not be able to change it lol oops)
I'm new here, and also fairly new to Daz and 3D.
This is my second official render with Daz (PFP being the first), so any constructive criticism is very welcome.
My first entry is titled Christmas Daydream. I was going for a low light type of scene, I really wanted the lights from the tree to illuminate the models' body as outside is snowy and foggy. Anyway, hope you enjoy and looking forward to entering more!

Edit: Picture is best viewed fullscreen, I guess 🙂
