Quick 10min render of Molly Teen Character sculpted in Zbrush. Head almost done. Still need to work on her nose, philtrum , cheeks and ears ect. Body about half done. I wanted a younger teen character without the tiny upturned nose, tiny mouth and huge eyes. I sculpted Mathilda and Leon earlier and took inspiration from that. 🙂
January 6, 2022 at 12:34 PM #1764463Jon Kim is alive!! Happy new year.
Nawow...She looks beautiful. I love the shape of the mouth with the Asymmetric philtrum. The chin looks also great. Nice softly. And yes..Molly looks very sweet.
About the ears....I think its difficult modelling some good ears. I have not seen any good ears in DAZ. Looks always like plastic.
Looking forwards @pumpherJanuary 7, 2022 at 4:18 PM #1764820I absolutely adore her, she has the cutest face! Great work! I can't wait to see the final result but she already looks perfect. Will you share when she is done?
January 7, 2022 at 8:52 PM #1764880Yeh she's a cutie alright. Looks like a young Natalie Portman. If you do decide to share.... I'm at the back of the classroom with my hand up.
January 8, 2022 at 6:56 AM #1764975I don't see any problem in those images. Are you sculpting this model using the G8 base or from zero in Zbrush and need to bone and gig as an entire new model for DS?

Natalie Portman?
Looks good. Are you using layers for your sculpting? Nose - eyes - lips and all the rest in case of hiccups.January 22, 2022 at 7:12 AM #1769269@frank22
I did a reworked more mature version of her that I didn't like as much and, long story short, now I'm working on 2 versions when I have time. Plus, I got side-tracked working on an old Hellboy character I've never finished.Just snowed over a foot here and I've been blowing snow all week. I got nabbed into helping someone dig their car out as I was going to the mailbox in my sandals and got frostbite, all the while trying to finish a house, blah, blah, blah. This week I've spent my downtime streaming Dexter, playing Totalwar Warhammer II, and sobbing

"Are you using layers for your sculpting? Nose – eyes – lips"
Due to DAZs low-poly import restriction, I generally sculpt morphs onto G8 base and progressively build up a character in sections until I get a result in DS that I'm satisfied with. First head then body, details such as lips etc. Definitely not the best way ideally. Sort of like painting with my offhand and trying to be as satisfied with the result.January 22, 2022 at 9:02 AM #1769292Well it's summer here but the weather has cooled off to about 28C so I can sleep at night. Cockroaches this summer have been feral... woke up twice last night with them crawling over me. I think I'd rather blow snow than live in the tropics.

Yeah, you got me there. Haven't seen a cockroach since I was a kid. Nasty little shits and hard to be rid of. I'll take my frozen toes over waking up with those buggers crawling on meJanuary 22, 2022 at 12:39 PM #1769346Anonymous

I always start with the nose for some reason. I have this bad habit of sometimes spending hours on one part then canning the project because it wasn't to my liking, and this is where layers come in handy.
Try this, it might save you some time 🙂

But... leaving the kitchen light on at night is really throwing them.
I get up for a drink at 2am and there's none to be seen, whereas they used to be everywhere.
The bastards try to come out in the day but only a couple, and I slam the ones I see.
Maybe I can starve them to death 🙂
December 15, 2025 at 9:39 AM #2156335I woke up at 3:17 a.m. to a rustling sound.
It wasn't loud. Confidently,
I turned on the light in the kitchen, and there it was.
A cockroach. Big enough to have a mind of its own.
Our eyes met.
It wasn't a “fearful” look. An appreciative look. As if it knew me.
I grabbed the spray can. Emptied half of it.
The cockroach didn't run away.
It just accepted it. Took a deep breath. Adapted.
Then it came toward me.
I backed away. Slipped. Dropped the can.
When I got back up, the cockroach was gone.
That's when I noticed the note on the countertop.
Crumbs formed into words....
“We tried peace.”
Now I hear them every night.
In the walls. In the ventilation shafts.
They're waiting.
I don't kill cockroaches anymore.
I leave them offerings.
Because whatever else has survived...
lets us stay.December 15, 2025 at 8:04 PM #2156365I do feel a bit guilty about my pest genocide plan Jolly Jumper.
"It never goes away, the guilt.
Mice in wedding dresses
appear in your dreams.Whole families of roaches
stand there in silent accusation."- Black Books
