How do you know if it is not just someone who used the same username?
February 22, 2024 at 8:25 PM #2059973Question, does Windows 10 Defender catches this kind of virus? I run it through other software first but I am still curious.
September 3, 2023 at 8:48 PM #2021450I would start with DAZ Studio and if/when you outgrow it then you move on to something else. Maybe try Blender (with Diffeomorphic plugin to import Daz content) if you want thing more robust or just create new items or morphs.
Yes, Daz characters can be exported to iclone, youtube has a lot of tutorials about that.
August 16, 2023 at 5:48 AM #2014085Did the rules change? I remember there being a checkbox or something to make the post free but I can't recall, I haven't posted free items in a while now.
August 15, 2023 at 2:39 AM #2013560The problem with allowing that is that freeloaders will start hunting down free items all over and flooding the blog with them.
August 15, 2023 at 2:37 AM #2013559Sorry to hear, truly. I've been there, I had an entire library of Poser stuff and custom characters back then and lost it all. When I came back, many many years later, I finally switched to Daz Studio, and boy am I glad I did.
Now I backup my custom library in OneDrive (6 TB for a personal account), and the rest in various cloud services. I recently built my custom NAS server but it has proven to be rather unreliable, so I'll stick to cloud for the time being.
February 24, 2023 at 6:07 PM #1932361are we under attack again?
August 15, 2022 at 6:43 PM #1854994@pooper do you know where I can find that app? I have a few game models I would like to convert, and I like tinkering with stuff even if I hit a roadblock down the line.
August 6, 2022 at 1:38 AM #1846758@frank22, no worries, I knew before I posted it was a touchy subject, I have been called an opinionated jerk more than once.
August 5, 2022 at 11:54 PM #1846657When I first started rendering Daz stuff I downloaded everything I could find. Now I know better, I only download stuff I will immediately use in a scene I'm working on. Sometimes I have to download more than one item to find the perfect match, and this is when the collection grows.
I built my own tool to help me catalog stuff, I'm a picture person, when I'm working on a project I like looking at the different pictures with variations and features items have. So my tool will (given the item filename has the SKU in it) scrape the marketplace and get me the overall info and pictures and try to put it in the right folder.
It does a few other nifty things, like building a DIM Package (still working on automatically assigning compatibilities), zip and unzip files, move them to the DIM install folder, etc.
I update it as I go, but it is forever in beta and half broken stage, plus very much tailored for my particular needs.
August 3, 2022 at 2:11 PM #1838565@Frank22, see I did say my message would come out harsh when it was not my intention. I am not dissing anyone. When I mean "not purchase", I mean for example, Ferrari cars are known for being very expensive but break all the time, poor quality compared to other cars of the same price range. However, that does not give me the right to go out and steal a Ferrari from the factory on the basis that "quality is bad so I can steal it".
Yes, I purchase DAZ items and I do share stuff here and I am active member, but I am also well aware and conscious that what I do is reproachable from a legal standpoint, and I do not seek to justify it.
Again, if you feel differently, that is ok, my opinion is my own and I don't think less of anyone here.
August 3, 2022 at 2:56 AM #1838543Maybe this is going to be an unpopular opinion, or come out harsh (not my intention), but I don't look for ways to somehow justify downloading illegal DAZ content. The "right" thing to do if I were to be unhappy with DAZ QA or product quality, would be to not purchase, downloads or use their products.
I just want to voice my own take on it, not accusing anyone of anything. I for one do purchase DAZ stuff and share it here, and statistically speaking, I am please with their product, they are still better than rosity, the hub and anything else out there.
July 18, 2022 at 8:49 PM #1832904I found the issue, it seems one of the scripts I am using in my workflow to zero the figure is breaking Look At Me II somehow, which is strange, because it only sets rotations to 0, but I was able to reproduce it.
I'll dig into the script and check what it does.
Thank you guys for jumping in. The posted product works fine.
January 13, 2022 at 3:26 PM #1766651Never mind, for some reason the first time I access renderosity I get a 500 error, so I thought it was a bad URL, but turns out it might be an ISP issue I guess.
May 19, 2021 at 5:17 AM #1693600Thank you for sharing, amazing find.
