@MariCorsair - I had all but decided that it wasn't worth using my converted characters after a couple days fighting my issue when I finally stumbled on the solution. I'm glad it helped.
@amberleaf - Thank you for the ERC freeze info. I'd heard to use it before, but now I know how to do it. Fortunately I've only had one recurrence with my main convert but now I can finish the job.I had similar eye issues with a couple of G3 females I converted to G8 where the joints for their faces weren't where they were supposed to be causing their eyes to "rotate" right out of their heads. What fixed it for them was using the Adjust Rigging To Shape tool. Here's a picture of where you can find it (Note you need the Scene tab selected for the right options to show): Screenshot
Hopefully this will help. I know how frustrating stuff like this can be.
I just loaded both the G8F and G3F by themselves and they are working fine in my case (when I used it previously, I used different shaders so I wanted be sure). Just to eliminate the possibility of contamination from the character or something else on it, have you tried loading the hair on its own and seeing if it still shows up wrong? I've fought with shader issues for hours before only to find the problem didn't exist when I loaded the part on another character.

If you pick any of the layouts you should get everything back. If you haven't, once you get everything the way you like it, save your layout. As for why it happened, it's Daz, that's reason enough. I've had it do weird stuff for no apparent reason, and I've even had products load and change my whole layout. I've had to reload my layout several times in a day, and I've gone months without having to.
Setting aside my personal powerful distaste for anything having to do with censorship, I do agree with the point of not having to open up another site just to see if I'm interested something.
It's not usually a problem, no. But let's face it, with the programs we're usually running, sometimes it's hard enough to browse ZG, let alone open up another site that wants to load all its garbage and 32,000 scripts. I usually use this to fill time while I wait on a render or a load, so it can get pretty annoying depending on the site.
That said, I fully understand some people don't like things that others have no problem with and there are things out there I don't want to look at either, so I'm onboard with the click-to-reveal picture idea. I would also support a "Mature Content" section as an alternative where such placeholder pictures wouldn't be needed.
Unfortunately, it's likely a lot more time and trouble than we can ask for. Unless a skillful individual were to volunteer their time to get it up and running and the staff were willing to allow them to do it?

I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong by doing anything in particular, but I always thought that the requests forum was a way for people to express interest and collect points enough to encourage someone to bring an item to the site for everyone to share.
I've also noticed that some things lately seem to be held back from being posted. Items that garner a lot of interest seem to not make it to the site, be it for scalping high point purchases from them or for whatever other reason. I always felt it was implied that once all the initial offers were met, the item would be posted for everyone. My main issue with holding items for ransom are that those with few points can't pay 500+ point for these items just because they are popular.
But for all that it is, this is still a free market of sorts. As for me, I generally forget to check for requests for the items I post because sharing is the point for me, not amassing points. But unless those people who hold items back explain their reasons, we can only guess them, and as humans we tend to assume the reasons for anything are nefarious and it might simply be that they assume someone else will post them and no one does for the same reason.
Pretty much at a loss. Only thing I could suggest is loading a G8F and try using the slider to apply and see if that works. If you haven't already, I'd also try re-downloading it and reinstalling the files and see if that helps. I've had a few different installs do weird stuff that went away with a fresh download due to unreported errors or copy errors with the first go round.
Have you tried clearing your log.txt file and then applying the morph and checking for reported errors?

(NSFW)Here's a screen cap with 2 G8F for comparison, the one on the right is morphed. I left them both in standard G8F skin. Also, when you check the "Currently Used" amongst all the other stuff, there are sliders for Serena body and head morphs (the head slider is visible in the cap) so you can check there to see if it is applied.
Unfortunately, the link at https://zonegfx.com/osuine-for-genesis-8-female/ currently targets an empty folder, but it does look like GMGFX is on the right track.

That is the case. As far as that goes, the morphs all load fine and everything seems to be working.

A little warning would be nice, I wouldn't have wasted my time with them. I spent points on them, and can't even download. By the time the link works, I won't even need them anymore.
Why are these even posted? They're basically brand-new dead links.
US here, out of several posts clicking the download button only got me there on one item, the others took me to my account page without a download and after signing out, to the main page. I had to use the above method of copying the links to the desktop app to be able to download the rest.
That said, I can access Mega and my account, I just can't download by link except whatever made that one file work. I don't know if this is a "blocking" issue or some internal malfunction at Mega? We'll have to see how things play out.
