If there is no major problem with the "rules" of this website. All I'm saying is that there is plenty of prudence, and that, at my age and training, seems ridiculous. But, be good blind!! 😀
yeah I don't think we really need nude images on the main site/posts you can always get the link to the store it came from and take a look at it, some ppl might find it offensive or inappropriate , I posted one the other day and they changed it because it was a seethru swimsuit.
I would prefer a flipbox. It starts with a placeholder image like the "Parental Advisory" one and when you click it, it turns over and shows the Adult image. Would save a lot of time that can be put to actually doing 3D.
@cage I am all up for that idea. All it is required is for optional second image for NSFW products if anyone wants to see it they can just click it and it will turn to the actual display image! Great idea.
Maybe a turn on/off adult filter. Showing the photo directly would save me time to go to the source site to see what really it is.
Setting aside my personal powerful distaste for anything having to do with censorship, I do agree with the point of not having to open up another site just to see if I'm interested something.
It's not usually a problem, no. But let's face it, with the programs we're usually running, sometimes it's hard enough to browse ZG, let alone open up another site that wants to load all its garbage and 32,000 scripts. I usually use this to fill time while I wait on a render or a load, so it can get pretty annoying depending on the site.
That said, I fully understand some people don't like things that others have no problem with and there are things out there I don't want to look at either, so I'm onboard with the click-to-reveal picture idea. I would also support a "Mature Content" section as an alternative where such placeholder pictures wouldn't be needed.
Unfortunately, it's likely a lot more time and trouble than we can ask for. Unless a skillful individual were to volunteer their time to get it up and running and the staff were willing to allow them to do it?

I am seriously laughing my ass off that someone compares the “heroic nudes” by artists like DaVinci to the nudity in renderotica.
I don't know... some of that stuff at RE is pretty "heroic" if ya know what I mean =^-^= Just sayin'
Really, in an ideal universe, the site code would have "escalation levels" that a user can set per profile; like a "Show NSFW Content" switch in user settings.
I find it more annoying that most of the stores/artists don't show you what the characters look like fully nude and Daz is the worst place for this , I like to see what I'm getting before buying/downloading I always go see what's included in a product. It's like buying a car and not being able to look under the hood. lol
The image for the product your talking about , did you ever wonder why she is naked ? there is no reason for it besides SEX SELLS LOL just an old marketing trick.

Well, I do not intend to change norms, but mentalities. But not even that. Each one makes his life before the storm. But I think there has been a controversy. And that's an attitude, better than sitting on the couch. 😀
I do not want to be seeing as much porn and 'nudity' as Daz users make. Especially Renderotica ones. They never come with warnings of potential assault themes. Women with painful faces, or stronger sexual ones. Nudity? Sure. I do nudity all the time. But Daz users tend to test what is tasteful nudity, and heavily sexual and porn; and that is something even I do not want to see just scrolling through.
A toggleable spoiler option would be wonderful, most forums have them, a bar you just click on and it pops open to show whatever is there, or the blur option (but perhaps a bit stronger) is a great idea.
Id prefer a heavy blur, because renderotica has a lot of r*pe and assault themes in their products, as well as torture devices, gore, etc that sometimes isn't clearly labeled in their products name. Or requiring people to start putting a "Gore", "Porn", or "Assault" tag in the titles. (Assault for any torture devices, posing, or the literal r*pe poses on Renderotica)
And personally, I do not think it should be changed. Not everyone enjoys to see blunt nudity, even tasteful. Clicking on a link and waiting five seconds really isn't that big of a deal, even when someone like I mass clicks many forums in separate tabs.
Perhaps like separate levels. Because tasteful artful nudity is not on the same level as straight up porn. There should be a "nudity on" option, and a "NSFW/porn" level. If you have the NSFW porn on, it would ofc show nudity. Which means finding a way to tagging your posts as just tasteful nonsexual themed or hinted nudity, or straight up porn.
I don't know if that is codingly possible, I'd think if a NSFW is, perhaps two is.
As an add on, I am not against porn. I do NSFW of my characters consistently. It is the fine line between very triggering content that renderotica has.
Hence my opinion. Some despicable things, like a "torment furnace to get milk from a woman's tits" is remarkably surreal. Another thing is the anatomy as is. I think, -may be a guess ...! LOL-, that men have penises and "balls" and women boobs and vaginal lips. But, maybe, I'm wrong ... But....
I think nudity should be fine. That's okay. But I dont want to see fetishes, especially extreme like any bathroom things, torture, assault, vore, gore, burning, cooking, etc etc
But it also could be for the website, because if a minor does find their way on, as I do not think there is a 18+ rule here, the website and the mods could get in trouble for it on top if it being a pirate site. A pirate site that comes up right below Daz Studio product pages when you search for a product!
@theorphaners that's the problem everyone has a different opinion on what is "alright content" for pic's and products , I personally like horror type of stuff I don't need my characters to be nude in them , a person being chased then beheaded by Jason Voorhees , another person strapped to a chair and tortured to give up secrets , a person captured by cannibals and cooked and eaten, two junkies assulting each other over the last crack rock, People have their own take on what's ok, the next person could be ok with pedophile type of shit or showing a close up of male/females privates a guy going down on an other guy or girls going at it, a woman laying with her legs spread wide open and who gets to decide what's ok ? and I don't know why u would call them "fetish's" some of these products can be used for different scenarios just because renderotica and other sites use them as an "adult" theme don't mean u have to use them as that.
