are you using any tattoos or geoshells? it could be a geoshell is messing with the hair. or maybe there is some problem with the materials you are using. what happens if you choose the purple hair material?

well i did not use any tattoos or geoshells just g3f as fast render test the hair gives
the same purple color even after trying the hair blending option and it looks like
before i apply the base hair material kind of clumpy. i tried to apply a different set
of hair shaders it does give color but it dont give the same results i guess because
the oot hair surface is different that the usual iray surface i have the same problem
    with Georgia hair by oot

Could there be a 'normal map' plugged into the wrong channel? Normal maps are purple.

I just loaded both the G8F and G3F by themselves and they are working fine in my case (when I used it previously, I used different shaders so I wanted be sure). Just to eliminate the possibility of contamination from the character or something else on it, have you tried loading the hair on its own and seeing if it still shows up wrong? I've fought with shader issues for hours before only to find the problem didn't exist when I loaded the part on another character.

Another suggestion, try a different Daz version. On my 4.15 Winfield and OOT hair give glowing fireflies throughout hair strands but not in 4.14, using the same scene.

@Cage That is because 4.15 treats cutout opacity slightly differently that 4.14. Select the hair in the scene - go to surfaces tab - make sure the hair is selected in the editor and change the cutout opacity from 1.00 to 0.99. That should solve the firefly effect.

    SDL

@shadowdemonlord Like magic, that fixes my problem 🙂 Couldn't find the solution on the Daz forum. How did you know? Thanks! 😀

@cage I think it was buried deep in the daz beta thread, but I learnt about it from one of my friends on discord.

    SDL.

i tried to render the hair by itself it does the same thing it does have color i picked
in previews but not when it renders i checked the surface tab and there is no normal
map in place of other maps. i want to post a picture of the hair and the surface tab
just to be sure because i could have missed something how i can do that ?
