The hair parting seems similar (same position) with Side Layered Messy Hair with Dforce from Linday. The hair has straight hair style option and thickness option.

There are lots of color option for the hair and they are all 2k and 4k size maps which is quite normal. Im referring to the tex folder size btw.

As for torment horn they are indeed the best looking horn out there. Its just the size is ridiculous. I also counted 10 4k texture maps inside torment texture folder just for the horn alone.

Having said that, as you already said, there could be other factor which im afraid i have no clue at all regarding memory leak etc. My system couldnt even get past dforceing the hair down :p

Also Torment horns are freakishly huge poly wise on their default setting. Maybe consider lower the subd to 3 or 4? Im pretty sure they load at subd 6 (approximately 3mil poly for both horns)

Blender is a free 3d app\software where you can create almost 3d related stuff from scratch. Its quite a powerful app and very handy. There are tons of tutorial about it on web or youtube.
