Does anyone buy poser stuff from Rendo? I almost never browse the poser items. Anything V4 worth while was probably made years ago.
@D0gg0d Nope! Haven’t used poser at all since Poser 11 (Uninstalled it completely after Bondware acquired the program from Smith Micro)

I haven't used Poser since Daz Studio got IRay.
Of late 'Rosity aren't pushing Poser so overtly.
I think they ought to wake up to the fact that their livelihood is based around the Daz Gen figures.Specifically, what they need to pick up on is supporting G8 based content is potentially a niche winner, because Daz is trying to supress that in favour of G9.
I posted that video a while back that described Poser's failings. They're like flat earthers or anti-vaxxers, clinging desperately to an illusion.
They need to fix Poser and make it natively compatible with Daz's format. They also need to change whatever policy is chasing artist away.
They probably won't though.I'm jealous that I didn't get that email. I get their regular marketing one most days, sometimes twice but not that one. Maybe they think I'm not important enough?

Daz Products today on Rendo.A solid 700 went poof in 1 month. Pretty sure the trend will continue.
Anyone find out why they are leaving?No or at least not me but we can try to make some deductions from what we know:
- Artists are leaving Rendo for Daz
- Artists aren't leaving Rendo for RenderHub
- Artists from RenderHub aren't leaving for DazTo me its looks like Daz is using predatory tactics to hurt Rendo.
If Rendo would have fucked up, we would see some of the artist move to RenderHub or other sites but to my knowledge it didnt happens. Also, and I may be wrong, but I haven't heard of artists moving from RenderHub to Daz so it seems pretty targeted against Rendo. But that's just my opinion ofcI don't imagine that RH gets the traffic that Daz does AND RH is known to be pretty sleazy with lots of stolen content.
Daz may also be offering artists a special deal...AND...Rendo must have made a supremely stupid change that's driving so many away.I was reading a thread at Daz today about the exodus and many folks made pointed statements about Rendo being stupid/pig headed/then stupid all over again. Usually that asshole Haseltine would have jumped all over those kind of statements but he let them lie. I guess it's ok to openly insult your competition.
Another problem is that Rendo, after ".. hiring key new staff, updating business strategy and implementing new processes" they would have to back down and change direction. History shows that businesses seldom do that unless their bottom line is seriously threatened as there are big egos involved and an admission of failure.
Not impossible thought if one remembers the Daz "You've been heard" encryption (partial) backdown. Then it was gone.

Perhaps not a better one than Daz's current PAs or they'd be pissed off by that, but who knows.When there’s an exodus from one store to a competitor, it’s a sign that the ship is sinking fast and seeing everyone move to DAZ definitely sounds like they got a better deal than what Rendo was giving. Hell, I betcha DAZ lifting some NSFW policies were actually in response to Rendo censoring harder than DAZ was.

Yeah, those two are idiots (and there are much, much worse in there). I don't care too much about them anymore, since they make their stuff for Poser exclusively, and I stopped using Poser over a decade ago.
