1) Organizing a small group of say 10-12 members in discord is just an one-time effort. Subsequently, its about alignment of interest. Say, there's a group for people desiring fantasy items, another for sci-fi ones, yet another for architectural pieces, you get the idea. The more the group is focused, the easier would it get to gather points for pooling into a zone request whenever a new item is launched.
2) Yes, the points are finite, and there are no free "carries". Just like elitists are going to "pad their wallet", these groups would be "padding their points". Fair and square.
3) You would be surprised how trustful active small groups can be if you have been part of small local gaming discord groups. I am not talking about discord servers with thousands of anonymous users. In small groups people know each other, often by their real names, that is the level of trust that runs. Even if trust issues arise due to teaming up with unacquainted folks, its hardly an issue to manage in a group of 10-12 members.

November 6, 2024 at 9:13 AM #2100729Good morning,
I discovered your site not long ago and so I'm new and I've more or less read the comments on this post, and I'm a little worried.
I try to satisfy the requests according to my means and desires, I have completed a few requests and I have an average of 10,000 points.
Will I be one of those considered a “leech” and banned?Sincerely.
PS: I know I don't post comments, but I'm not talkative.November 6, 2024 at 9:57 AM #2100741^ Most likely not. You'll gain more points over time, if those assets are posted to the blog. Things are much better now than when I first joined. The request feature makes it easier to earn points for those that fill requests.
November 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM #2100785It’s a shame the daily points have been removed, but I fully understand the decision.
November 6, 2024 at 12:22 PM #2100791Funny how the voices who are complaining the loudest are those who've joined only to farm points or those who haven't - or barely - shared anything.
We should want to encourage folks to barely contribute if they aren't contributing anything. If every person currently not sharing would share 1 item every 3 months, the Zone would be overflowing with new content. Perhaps extra points for anyone who shares something for the first time - a 500 or 1000 point bonus? We should never minimize anyone who shares new content, no matter the cost or how many times they've done it.
My 2¢
November 6, 2024 at 12:34 PM #2100794Since everything we say does not seem to land. I did a reup as an example.
It took me 5 minutes ( finding it elsewhere, upload and share).
It got me 1125 points in 8 days ( 8x100login is less). And it wasn't really a "popular" item.
maybe pictures work?

@gelstat not by a long margin - turned out to be a very lucrative post for that user. Though nobody else chose to make a song and dance about it...
November 6, 2024 at 1:27 PM #2100804You started two separate threads in the forum on this same topic in the last few hours. I wonder what triggered you so hard? Was it anything I said?
Just to be clear, my idea of point pooling is not some divisive strategy between the rich and poor, though I may have used some phrases that might have hinted otherwise. If so, I apologize.
My idea of point-pooling is EXACTLY the same as the forced contribution system that is now in place but directed a bit differently. Let me explain.
In the current system everybody is required to contribute assets to the Zone to earn points, right? Ok, so now we are all pooling our purchase contributions from Daz and other stores, so that our collective contributions give us access to more items than we could have individually obtained if we purchased them separately with real money. This is how the new system is intended to work right? Some great thinker (not me though), a few posts earlier in this thread gave this new process a name - "Wallet Padding".
Now, for a moment, shift your perspective by replacing
1. "everybody (in the Zone)" to "new users in the Zone"
2. "Daz and other stores" with "the Zone"
3. "real money" with "points"
4. "Wallet Padding" with "Point Pooling"
in the above paragraph. With me so far? Tell me how that paragraph sounds?
Do you still believe I am saying anything different or divisive between the rich and poor? I am still sorry if I rubbed you in a wrong way. English isn't my native language.

Don't worry I'm not angry just real life is kicking my butt right now so can't deal with
all the crap going on here so good luck to everyone!November 6, 2024 at 3:59 PM #2100853@Sandeep
Hi there, I've read your reply and thought about it for a while.
For one it was not meant to be personal! But the last few days a lot is been going on, and I think people are wrong.
It is not hard to gain points, but it takes some effort.
Going through dead section, find those files on the web etc.I started out here converting clothes from gen 3 to gen 8, At the same time a user called Gryrar was doing the same. After a while we complimented for doing all that work
I didn't buy anything, I didn't reup dead posts, but still my points rocketed. It is the effort we all make that makes this community
There are people spending hundreds of dollars buying and sharing items
Is it strange they ask for a little commitment in return? What me, and others, bother is the fact that people come here, take everything for granted, but do not participate in any way.
I don't mind if someone NEVER uploads if he/she is active on the fora, helps out with probs ( finding things, tech talk), joins in with the competitions etc.
Hope this makes some sense, greetz gaverNovember 6, 2024 at 4:17 PM #2100859As a relatively no user, i have to say that removing the daily points makes the website completely useless (i repeat, as a newbie that is mostly here to look up useful assets and not really interact with the community, wich i feel is most of the common user).
This said i really have no reason to remain, kinda sad to me but i guess not really for the website/community since they are not losing anything.November 6, 2024 at 8:26 PM #2100885Excuse me, @gaver, but, trying to put myself in your shoes, I don't see the point of encouraging reuploading a dead link found on, say, shadowcore; why would anyone download it from here when they can go somewhere else and get it without spending their -now more scarce- points?
To get a greater user engagement there should be a way to distinguish between really new uploads and the rest, and that's what the site managers should promote. Maybe filtering the SKUs? I have no idea.
November 6, 2024 at 9:08 PM #2100888I have to admit I used to come here and see something I want and then go to SC or Render State to see if it was there. I reckon we've all done that.
The problem with your suggestion about "new content" is that anything new here appears on those other sites within hours.
They could make new stuff available according to rank but that would still happen and it would certainly piss off those with fewer points, more than they already have been. -
