By the way, I believe that KOO went to RH also.
Check this vendor and tell me am I right.It really depends on personal preferences.
If you wish to generate a mish mash of fantasy & reality, I suppose it could be of use.
If your preference is for natural looking males & females it can be a nightmare to get something acceptable.Yes, it can be done but with bloat & time needed, it really isn't worth it when you can just use another more focussed base.
I don't have G9 bloat installed & have no desire to.

I use it all the time when kit bashing.🙂

True, it all depends on personal preferences. But both figures have their flaws, and G8 is certainly no exception.For human figure the body is always dial-able and that personal taste matters 99% so I am not bothered that much by the G9 body of vendors. Almost all Daz Originals bodies are fine by me. Having said that, Mechaser really stands above all the rest in terms of making unique G9 bodies that just look naturally correct.
However, the lack of quality non-human G9 is why I have pretty much ceased playing with Daz nowadays.
RawArt seems to be the only one still making them. I think his G8 works are OK but something is really off with his G9 stuff. I can't pinpoint why that is and on top of that is his refusal to make head and body morph separate so I don't even bother checking them out anymore.
Feng makes some interesting non-human characters but unfortunately he is not very good at sculpting anatomy. The skeleton structure and muscle attachment are off to me in almost all his G9 figures, human or creatures.
I love the works of JoeQuick and Josh Crockett in G8 but they both seemed to have quit G9 after the initial launch.
@i53570k I miss JoeQuick and Josh Crockett so much too. Used Shape Transfer on a lot of G8 creatures but most of them without the HD or the textures are simply not worth it having, I felt even focerd to learn how to polish them in Blender to be decent for G9. So yes since Lycan/Lahr I can't say I've seen quality creatures, unless I missed some.
I remember reading Rawart complaining about sales somewhere and customers pointed some issues with the faces and G9 in general and that he is still not splitting head/body after years of people asking and he didn't take it well, If I find where that happened I'll share.

At this point I want ANYTHING but sh-t like DO characters, but every single female clone (this week is Nadine which looks like Brianna without lip filler and Xiao) makes me so bored it's depressing. The only recent DO characters are the ones replicating celebrities, because those don't have the dull copy pasted face structure 80% of the females have in G9.
G9 assets can look absolutely amazing, but things start to go wonky if you adjust the shapes, a female might start having 'man chest' for instance.
Add to that that grafts like Breastacular just don't function well in G9 due to how they changed everything, forcing graft creators to use rigidity maps, which have a slew of issues. Otherwise, graft creators would need to add compatibility morphs with EVERY SINGLE G9 CHARACTER.
For me, G9 is basically garbage.
People can argue that there are workarounds to this, or workarounds to that, but it's just a whole lot of work to make a broken product... not as broken.Only reason I use G9 is I'm bored and I know what Ive done with G8. I installed G9 messed with it, it sucked and I deleted it. I decided to reinstall it for no other reason than to try and make it work. I found I have to put effort into getting a decent looking body for G9 while G8 is just way easier. If I were doing something I took seriously, I wouldn't use G9. Unfortunately I dont have anything to add to the list.
Why is it that every time someone starts a thread about G9 it always ends up with G9 haters? We get it, you don't like G9! Just don't piss off those who like it and move on.
I rarely mess with Daz anymore. Not a fan of AI but will eventually have to cave in. Focusing my time on my kid, new house and other random hobbies. So 9 or 8 aren't seeing much use lately.
I have nothing against varied opinions being expressed, and like to see a a well reasoned argument.
The only time I draw the line is when it degenerates into a personal slanging match.
Thankfully that doesn't happen much here.

Clarification re. 'Fit Control'.
I was referring to using it to help fit G9 clothing onto G8, not using it on G9 characters.
I wouldn't know about that, because I don't have G9 installed.🙂
You could apply the same logic in reverse. If you see a G9 hate thread, piss off and move on.
My dislike for most games and movies for the last 10 years is only strengthened by watching reviewers like Critical Drinker, Mauler, Robot Head, ect... since they appear to "mostly" like the same things, it saves me from wasting my time and money on crap.
If hate threads stop people from being force fed or supporting garbage aka:G9 then let them decide who to listen to.
Now what you could do is defend your opinion on why its better than G8. Post renders supporting your statements and discuss it both coherently and logically.
Honestly, I could easily have more fun with G3 or V4.
