    @sandeep

I'm not looking anything in particular, just want to make a honorable vendor list, from the vendors that ACTUALLY WORK ON G9 BODIES, not just some C/P generic stuff.
(Caps Lock is because they read this too)

So - size, shape, ethnicity, morphs, effort, details, textures... All the things that matter.
Just share your fav vendors, elaborate a bit and we can put them on the list for a quick quality search.

I can agree with you on most of the vendors you've mentioned except Emrys. I just can't find his distinctive style, maybe because of his (too many) collabs with other artists and vendors and adopting their style in his figure, and then a collab with another vendor, adopting his style in his next product and so on...
By the way, I believe that he's not active anymore.

    But, that's just me.

Thanks for sharing these vendors, I'll add them to the list.

[EDIT 1] About my preferences: "I'm using DAZ as a side tool for model animation in Blender. And because I'm not doing NSFW work, body is not that important to me but matters a lot when applying clothes.
What matters to me the most is high-poly mesh, different shapes, sizes, ethnicities and great looking textures.
I just need to: load model -> apply MATs -> export to Blender -> animate.
Not to mess around a lot with morphs and tweaks."

[EDIT 2} You can fill Cressida (and Veira) requests, if you want, HERE and HERE when you get back, I've just posted the requests now. Don't have them, strange... 🙂

Actually, I’ve often found myself thinking the same thing - that Pendragon mixes original morphs. I even noticed what seemed like Bluejaunte morphs in his one latest character. However, that doesn't change the fact that I still like certain body shapes he puts out. To be honest, I only have fewer than ten of his bodies saved that I actually like, and even fewer head morphs. I’ve also kept only a small selection of textures in a category that works for me.
Regarding the main topic - even if he’s churning them out in bulk, I still occasionally come across interesting gems that I like, even if it's just a specific body morph.

Although they're not my first or even second choice, I've included your suggestions in a list.
SOFT3D, Pendragon and Exart3D are added.
It would be nice if you could make a list of Pendragon's models that you use, so we could check 'em out.

I’ll put together a list and add a few more creators as well. Just a reminder though—my preference for specific body morphs is purely subjective and based on my own taste. I’m just picking out the 'gems' that work for my specific needs.

    Body morphs
    Soft3D:
Ru. Selene. Beth. Gloria, Layla, Ravia, Vivan
As for body morphs, this is actually one of my favorite creators. There are also plenty of other interesting body morphs among the requests.

    Pendragon:
    Beatrix, Drusyla, Fabiola, Kimy, Samira

    Exart3D:
    Alessandra, Diana

I will also add a few more morphs to the list.
    CC Danielle
    Gladys 9
    HM Thalya

Besides that, I use a wide range of creators, even if it's just a few morphs from each - ranging from Feng and Kooki99 all the way to Mousso, RFX, ISTQ, Khaoklong, Dexon, and many others.
By the way, I have way more head morphs in my collection, and fortunately, they take up very little space as well with other morphs.

As you could see from my screenshot on previous page, I'm also collecting HM and Mechasar models.
I just needed some confirmation that I'm in the right 🙂

About Circles I've never heard, but there's only one character model from this vendor, so I won't be putting him on the list.
I'm interested about those morphs for CC Danielle and I want to try them, so I'll put up a request for item HERE. You can fill it if you want.

I got her from another kind person. I extract what I need if I find interesting morphs or textures, and then I delete everything else. PeepShow45 was the one who shared CC Danielle before.

Thanks man! I wrote to PeepShow, hopefully he'll respond and fill the request.

So I’m fairly new to Daz. How are creators such as Colm Jackson, Mousso, and iSourceTextures? What’s the general consensus on them for Genesis 9?

In my opinion, they were significantly better in their G8 days. :0/

I share Eelgoo's opinion as well. Out of three vendors you have listed, I collect only CJ's characters, and that's mostly out of respect and habit. Same with CynderBlue (but his clothes for G9 are good).

I see, thanks. Are there any Genesis 9 creators that handle feminine shapes well? When I look back at Genesis 8, I’ve noticed that female characters usually have better figures. Is this because of the way Genesis 9 is with the shared figure?

Yes, it is a function of the failed idea that an androgenous unimesh is a good idea. It really isn't. They tried it with genesis 1 ( Michael 5 & Victoria 5 ), it didn't work well then either.
Effete males & butch females. 🙁

Such care and attention that is given with G9, is normally to the head morph for portrait work & in support of that usually poorly optimised bloaty textures.
Little, if any, care & attention is given to the body.

There is a wealth of material related to G8 & it is still well loved & supported. 🙂

Actually, merging the two genders isn't a bad idea; it allows for even more unique variations and combinations. Regarding textures, it’s quite simple. You're likely having issues because of the 8K micro-details being applied not just to the head, but to the body, arms, and legs as well. You can just disable them, swap them for 4K micro-details, or even use bump maps like in the old bumps in Uber shader. You could even turn them off entirely, as some normal maps already combine both micro-details and detail maps. Otherwise, most of them are still 4K texture maps, but now with even fewer texture zones, which is actually better than the good old G8. Plus, the 8K micro-details themselves don’t strain the system that much; hair, especially with Omni shaders, is what significantly increases render times.

@Slanna I completely forgot about those two PAs. HM hasn’t been very active lately, but he’s definitely one of the good creators, and the same goes for Mechasar. HM’s body morphs follow a similar doll style approach as HH, and his normal maps are solid.

Mechasar puts a huge amount of effort into his characters, each one can take anywhere from six months to a full year to develop. His figures also include dozens of dedicated JCMs, covering almost every possible body bend.

So both of them definitely deserve a spot on the good list.

    @morganascot
It’s worth noting that once you own one or two figures from any of those three creators, you essentially have a good sense of all of them.

I’d say Colm Jackson creates excellent textures, and many of his characters have a lot of charm and blend nicely with others.

MSO does solid work on faces. His textures tend to follow a similar style (HID does this as well), and about 95% of the time he mainly releases new diffuse maps. Sometimes I really like his work, and other times I find it a bit disappointing.

As for IsourceTextures, I tried a couple of their figures and wasn’t impressed with the textures. Since morphing isn’t really their strong point either, I ended up losing interest in their products.
