So about last week-ish, I bought and shared a pose set from shortly after Stephanie 8 launched. As we don't get notifications when there's a Disqus comment left on a post, it wasn't until a few days later, did I see this message from someone (who will remain anonymous):

"Why did you choose to post this early, Stephanie 8 isnโ€™t even in the zone yet"

Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but this was probably the rudest if not one of the more ungrateful things I've encountered here on the Zone. And given how (usually) chill and thankful people here are, this completely blindsided me. I dunno, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong or not.

Here's the thing: About 4/5ths of the content I post on ZGFX? I bought it legally. Sure, some of it is reposted/cleaned up stuff grifted from Dazposer that wouldn't normally see the light of day over here, but on the whole, I've spent my own hard-earned money on this shit and I'm happy to share it with everyone else. Really, I am. But ungrateful attitudes like this? I dunno man, sometimes, it makes me think twice. Besides, it's not like you need Stephanie 8 for the poses to work anyways.

I know a lot of us want and beg for the new shinies. I know we're pirates and essentially have no real moral ground to stand on, but come on, people... at least show a little tact? Please?

(Also, Tomsk or Hunter, feel free to nuke if this oversteps a line. Just had to get this off of my chest)

Don't let it bother you some people speak before thinking I'm sure every member here is thankful for your shares. ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm sure too, but I can understand your frustration. Some people are ungrateful and show some lack of respect... Sorry you had to deal with that...

Sorry you had to put up with some ones ingratitude, but there are way more that do appreciate. Turn your nose up at them, it is their problem that they have no manners, not yours

    lol, this is so funny
that someone is not just any someone, it's Joseph Lemons !

let that be our collective response to any and all incessant requests he's going to make in the future:

"IT IS TOO EARLY TO POST THIS, JOSEPH"

@grbage Haha, yeeeeah... I didn't want to name names, but yeah.

Everyone else: Thanks. At the end of the day, I'll admit there's bigger things to be upset/frustrated by, but it just caught me completely off-guard and I wanted to bring this kind of attitude to light.

On the bright side, at least other people get to enjoy the product and they can save those extra few bucks for a coffee or to help pay for a bill, haha. That alone makes the purchase worth it to me.

@not-hunter in this case, Joseph actually posts quite a lot, new and sometimes even expensive items
i am inclined to think that the remark was made not from position of entitlement, but of someone who likes to orchestrate things
"why did you post that, it's too early to post that"

Being a disabled veteran I have more time to spend on this site than others who toil 8 or more hours a day working with the exception of many visits to the VA hospital. Some of us have the means to purchase more items than others as well. This site is a social group where we meet and share ideas, content and socialize. Hopefully we can do so without trying to disrespect one another.

While I cannot speak for Hunter or Monk, personally I do not feel you overstepped any line @notenoughrupees. I myself recently had a sort of rant too ๐Ÿ™‚

Having read through the comments and replies I must say that at one point I thought this thread was devolving into a slanging match but it quickly turned around and pleasantly surprised me.

Whether there is an underlying excuse or not, no-one can be held responsible for how others perceive their remarks. You all made valid points.

Thank you for remaining civil ๐Ÿ™‚

For what it's worth, I've had this issue with some folks here as well, and it really is irritating to be sure. But I've found that it bothers me as much as I allow it to.

Some people will always focus on their own unhappiness and what they don't have, while others will focus on what they do, and be grateful. I do believe a lot of this attitude comes naturally with age, but it is sometimes hard to ignore/tolerate the lack of character in a percentage of the younger generation. (I'm looking at you, millennials.)

Still, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, (as Colle does in his reply above)
Having been into this hobby for a good long time, it's nice to see such an explosion of content and community in recent years. However, with popularity comes the hoi polloi. All one can do is live with it, or choose not to.

I've found that the majority of the people on this site with whom I interact, (the same ones who do most of the heavy lifting), are genuinely fine folks with whom I'm happy to have connected. I try to remember that when someone gets on my tits. Though rant posts, are a nice outlet, as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am only posting on this feed for two reasons, Not that I want to get into any drama just giving my two cents worth. First I would like to take a moment to personally "Thank" Dick Egerbert as well as all the rest of those here who are vets, "Thank You for your service". I am a disabled Marine so I too understand what you have and are going through. Secondly, I want to mention that I agree with Dick, some of us are not as financially able as others who share things on here. I joined this site to share when I could and to help others who were living on limited funds like me. I come to this site daily to check for new posts as well as I check the requests page and try to help those I can. Lately there has been drama about this one posting that or that one sharing on other sites. When I joined I don't remember any rules about sharing anything we get on any other site. If I missed that rule I am sorry. I thought we were all here to help each other, to share items. Now maybe there are a few who have or are taking advantage of things shared here or maybe worse. However for the most part I have only found helpful, friendly people here. Well to sum it up, I would have to agree with Tomsk & Ethiopia are we not all mature enough to move past the drama, arguments and negativity? I personally feel there is enough of that in the world already. Like I said, just my two cents worth for what it matters.
