Is there such a program? If you lost/don't have access to the original .rar, was there a program to easily compile your product back into a .rar? I remember reading somewhere that a program like that exists, but forgot what it was... if anyone know please let me know, thx.
March 12, 2023 at 2:53 PM #1939991You probably mean the Content Package Assistant but that one only helps you create the DIM files so you can install with the Install Manager. It can't really go into your library and pull the files from there.
March 12, 2023 at 8:01 PM #1940074If you don't have the original .rar your main problem will be locating all the dependencies in your library. This tool can do that and after they're found you could gather (copy) them and make your own .rar.
March 13, 2023 at 8:04 AM #1940223Thank you for the replies! I will take a look at that tool, Frank!
March 13, 2023 at 8:31 AM #1940245@frank22, that's a nice app..
March 13, 2023 at 9:54 AM #1940332It would be handy if there was a program that did that.
March 13, 2023 at 5:03 PM #1940517@itsmenotyou, the program the frank linked does almost that.. you can select a set of duf files and it will analyze the dependencies in them and list them.. they can then be zipped into one package..
March 13, 2023 at 11:09 PM #1940615Does the program work as well as described gladson?
March 14, 2023 at 1:20 AM #1940651I tried it on a few characters, clothing and hair.. it does get all the files referenced.. will check out a few more to see it it misses out.. Just drag and drop all the duf files and hit Resolve..
think it would miss out on the readmes from the original since they wont be referenced in the dufs, but then I don't even copy them.. 🙂March 15, 2023 at 5:52 AM #1941201Anonymous

Curious....
So, if you dial spun up a GF8 character, then dragged that DUF into this program, it could, theoretically, pull all the characters together that were used to make her... hmmm.
March 15, 2023 at 10:33 AM #1941408To @ace94 .They don't make a "DIM" file, but they will "copy and paste" in the typical library.
That problem is solved by doing a decent installatio, with Content Package Install. and, then, you already have it in the "DIM", to solve those controversies of...."Where is this?"
Gathered solves that for you, with its dependencies on "what folders is this...".
If you work with Renderosity/renderotica/etc..., they do NOT use any metadata..
Personally, I use "my" "minifier", since DSON(The DUF format...), is nothing more than a json, js or similar. (the typical DAZ madness...): I optimize any duf/dsf to a gzip, which DAZ reads. Then, the textures, there are jerks who use "tif" with layers... (We're not going to kill them, but a good beating in an alley is worth it...)
Shrink any "things" so it takes up less space on your hard drive or SSD...
There are too many "amateurs" who want to earn money at all costs, and do not know how to "do the O with a toilet paper tube"..)
I hope that the programs that I uploaded a long time ago, and their intelligence, know how to solve this type of "grievances!
"Let the work be easy for you..."!!.
NEVER isn't installed with a "Drag&Drop"...March 23, 2023 at 3:22 PM #1945548looking at daz script doku for unrelated reasons, I stumble across this:
Extract Data From Products Used - Remotely executes the List Products Used script, and optionally the Zip Compress Each script, silently, by passing in predefined arguments to control the operation of the script and extracts data.
I don't understand how to do it but it seems like exactly what you want
