Well I am sure that this will make some people very happy!!!
https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/NVIDIA-SeriesSeptember 20, 2020 at 1:35 PM #1629668Probably 150$/ Gig !!!!!
September 21, 2020 at 4:06 AM #1629795This is the GPU I'm going to build my new machine around. Been waiting for something like this for a long time. I'll sell a kidney and buy two with an NVlink.
September 21, 2020 at 11:43 AM #1629863Also keep your eyes open for the, as yet unannounced, 3080 with 20gb .. will probably come in (quite) a few hundred dollars cheaper ..
September 24, 2020 at 7:18 AM #1630614There are multiple reports of problems with the 2080 by gamers. Some say PSU related and others say not. I'll wait until DS and NVIDIA have the 2080 working in DS before I might buy one... which may be some time seeing as I resigned my job last week.
September 24, 2020 at 8:12 PM #1630749Already enjoying 24 GB of VRAM for at least year now and I have no regrets. It's sad to see that my Titan is now worth not even half of what I paid for, but I don't really care since I'm not going to sell it. It's still a monster and I'll probably skip the 3000 series, or if I don't I'll buy a 3080 "Ti" with 20 GB, if it ever comes out, to replace the 1080Ti that I currently use as a sidekick for the Titan. Its 11 GB is a bit limited but since it's not driving any monitor I can still use it for about 70-80% of my scenes and it still have enough punch to lower the render times quite a bit.
I would be jumping on that 3090 though if I didn't have my Titan. Nice card for that price IMHO, but I'm not sure I understand where Nvidia is going with this "this is not a Titan" thing. I guess we'll see in the near future...
September 24, 2020 at 8:33 PM #1630754if you want 24g vram, i guess a second hand quadro m6000 a bit cheaper...., yes i know this is an "old" hw, but still a nice, usable solution.
September 24, 2020 at 9:04 PM #1630763The M6000 24 GB is still ridiculously expensive for the performance this GPU has, especially now... I would still buy a second hand Titan RTX if you absolutely need the Quadro optimization that the 3090 doesn't have (since it's not officially a Titan), but that only applies to CAD and some AI deep learning stuff. For 3D the 3090 is IMHO a really sweet deal.

VRAM aside, the CUDA cores on the new gen cards alone are insane.
I'll wait patiently to see what creative benchmarks bring. Can't stand the gaming benchmarking hype thing.September 24, 2020 at 9:37 PM #1630773yeah, the titan rtx is rly good card, but not worth a price of a car.
September 26, 2020 at 12:43 AM #1631055RTX 3090 - 24 gig are now popping up in Aussie stores now with prices ranging $2900 - $3300.
So I wont be able to get one......ever.September 26, 2020 at 11:58 AM #1631142$1500 USD at Newegg. They sold out in minutes.
September 26, 2020 at 12:34 PM #1631147The card is showing 10496 Cuda cores but the Titan is only has 4608 cores.
September 26, 2020 at 12:59 PM #1631153Yeah, it has 10496 big daddy cuda cores !!
