The thought about making a group with the character and the light didn't even crossed my mind. Just had to place the character at the default location, group with the light set, then move it back.

I assume you want to request something that has never been requested before, right?
If this is the case, you put, on the title, the name of the item you want, write your offer saying something like "I'm offering X (amount of points) for:
Click "link" and paste the URL of the product you want on URL and on Link Text you paste the name of the item again.)
Download a Image of the item, go to postimages, select the photo, copy the direct link, click "IMG" and paste It.Done.
About installing something offline, you can just select "Work offline" on DIM (Or this is not what you meant?). Installing things from outside DAZ3D you have to copy the files and paste it inside your "My Daz 3D Library" (I think it has two folders with the same name, but I can't confirm (You can do the same thing with products from DAZ3D as well).
10 minutes to load a character? I think it's way too much, no? For me it takes 2 minutes (and I think it's already too slow) to load a character and I have almost 2.5K assets on DIM.
Can you explain to me how to install characters in different libraries, and if this really makes a good difference regarding loading time?
One more thing, folks. There's a way to reduce the time needed to start a render? Sometimes I click to start rendering and it takes 2 minutes to start the rendering process.
I assume you found this method in a thread about Tenley, right? I had the same problem, I tried this method, it didn't work perfectly, the morphs stopped loading with the character, but "filter by context" in the Smart Content tab was showing "Tenley" instead of Genesis 8.1 Female, even though I think it wasn't changing anything, it was something bothering me, so after trying to uninstall Tenley through DIM and Manual, I had to uninstall DazStudio and install it again.
LOL! I do the same, especially when I want to pose hands resting on something (like on waist or face) and legs. Sometimes a preset of a seated don't touch the ground or it touches WAY too much (half the leg inside the ground), so I have to pose it myself and I think "How do my legs look when the seat is too high to touch the ground?".
Yesterday I had to hold a cup of tea just to see how my hands look, so I could copy it to my character.
I saved mine as a character preset and applied to a 8.1 base figure.
The problem with expressions is that some Gen 8 expressions don't work on 8.1.
I had to use a file who someone else created to fix this issue, because a method mentioned on Daz forum didn't fix it.
Smart Content has two tabs, "Files" and "Products". It looks like you're looking at the items in "Products", for this reason you're looking at the entire outfit, to see a specific item, switch to the "Files" tab.
If you are looking for the download link on the request pages, you will not find it, there you offer X amount of points, someone will buy it and send it to you by private message.
On the homepage of the site, look for Latest Posts, there you can pay 50 points for any item you want and after paying the link will appear.
