Generosity aside, I just don't understand what the thinking was .. Why not just make them available on the days when the download links are to go live instead of two weeks earlier where people are now spending points for something "free" yet can't download it .. ??
And no doubt people still are spending points on them because contrary to what Monk said 11 hours or so ago - the "not available until ##/##/####" STILL doesn't show until people have spent the points ..

The download links will be shown on the mentioned dates FOR FREE!"Nope. The "release date" text only shows after clicking and spending points .. The Pose Randomiser Pro doesn't even say "**Christmas Gift**" either, yet when clicked and the pts spent, it says release will be on Christmas Eve.

Well - not when people have already - and probably still are - spending points. That's not "FREE!" .. Personally, I'm not bothered about the points .. but people will be spending points who are short anyway and then can't download it ..
Stupid idea.
Also keep your eyes open for the, as yet unannounced, 3080 with 20gb .. will probably come in (quite) a few hundred dollars cheaper ..
The sums will have to add up to work out the value of things .. but it could encourage more people to share. I can imagine downloading stuff is like getting a fix for some people who need to "download everything now" to satisfy their reptillian brain .. well, they might have to start sharing to get their fix or they're going to have to wait until they can afford things ..
At first, the Harvesters might have the points available to begin with - but eventually, they'll start to run dry if they want to harvest everything posted here on day 1 and upload it on their own site.
I can't believe some of the stuff posted on this thread.
You lose any right over what you shared the moment to shared it. People can't get all picky over what happens to something they have "pirated" and shared .. good for the goose, and all that .. anything else is just hypocritical..
However, to summarise some of the points ..
1) Trying to shame people due to their sharing history is a) pointless and b) immature .. there are many reasons why people don't / won't / can't share .. Any item can only be shared once, people short on cash, people posting anonymously through others. Personally, I'm somebody slow on the uptake - I'm about a week behind in the churn .. although I check on here daily, I'm mostly away from my computer and am not up to date on what's newly released. So by the time I see something on Daz / Rendo and think "ohh, I like that" .. it's more often than not already up here .. You can't punish or shame others just because you like to go out and buy stuff and share on day one.
2) Seeders DON'T seem to get rewarded enough in points. On the handful of things I have uploaded, I was surprised when I saw only 20 pts per "sale". I thought something had broken. However, for those people with 200k or 500k in points .. "more than I'll ever need" .. what's the problem? Why do you want more than 20 per "sale"? I don't see the issue .. it's an issue to those just joined and are looking to build up some points .. but then, why does a billionaire want another 100 bucks?
3) The main issue seems to be uploads appearing elsewhere within a few minutes. I can understand, certainly somebody without 10s of 1000s of points, thinking what's the point.
How about this for a solution .. (I don't know if Hunter could implement it or not).When there's a new upload .. have it cost a high number of points .. for sake of argument, 500 .. now, those with "more pts than I'll ever need" .. could still get it at the first opportunity .. whereas mere peasants like me, couldn't (or it would cost me quite a chunk).
Each day, the cost drops by a small amount - let's say 50 a day which means each day it becomes affordable to more and more people. And it keeps dropping day by day until it's at the base 50 pts.
What this means is the Harversters will either end up going "bust" if they want new uploads on their site on the same day - having to buy everything at extortionate prices .. Or they can wait a week and let Seeders get their reward.
Seeders will get a good pay off on what they upload (lets say they get the current 40% of cost .. so instead of 20 for something that costs 50, they get 200 for something that costs 500 initially) .. and because they'll be less opportunity to get it on other sites, more people will download on Zone. The pay off naturally drops off each day as the cost drops.
Because Seeders are getting a decent payoff - they more than likey have more pts to pay for things on day 1 of upload .. thereby completing the circle.
The Harvesters will HAVE to upload new stuff here to keep up with the Day 1 Harvest to their own site. That means more stuff shared on Zone.
Ok, this is off the top of my head .. and details might need refining .. but it's something like this that needs to be done to keep everybody happy.

When the amount of items you have builds up - you need some organisation to keep track. Looking for a "short black skirt with the tassels" is nigh on impossible if looking through your content folders.
I create custom nested categories such as .. Female > Clothing > Skirts > Short .. every time I get a new item, after installation, I place it in the correct category. Means I can find exactly what I want in seconds .. Takes me about 30 seconds in total to find the female model I want, her hair and outfit (even if made up from different sources) ..
Will be a nightmare to set up if you have a big collection already and NOT done anything like that so far .. but, even then, long term .. it's worth it ..
