@littlepleasures - Thanks for taking the time out to respond to my queries. My computer shut down on few ocassions coz of some work outside. I had time to do this yesterday and it took me a long time... lol. I mean I am still an amateur so maybe it was a bit hard for me to get a grasp of so many things.
But eventually I was able to apply the external textures I wanted.
Thank you so much@littlepleasures - You are spot-ON. yes it is tiled. Maybe that's why it doesn't work? So how do I fix then?
Shall I create a new texture map and then create a new opacity mask just for that? or is there any quick workaround?

Yes I did that too, it didn't work.
What I realised that the shader preser material file is 900 x 900 and the cut out opacity mask is 4096 x 4096. Is that the reason for the problem? if so, then can I resize the shader preset texture to 4096x4096 and then apply the cut-out mask?
You know what I will try that now.

Everything works like a charm now.
@littlepleasures - you were right. i tried deleting polygons, nothing happened and I was able to recreate, load a new figure with no issues. But I prefer the opacity mask method for my problem.So now that the cut our mask worked, I applied a different texture to the shirt using shader presets that can be used for any clothing item. The cut out mask I created doesnt work for any shaders I apply which are not a part of the shirt or its materials.
So any suggestions?

You have enlightened me big time. Today was the first time I tried the geometry tool. Its unbelievable how hiding some polygons solved almost everything.
I didn't try the grow option, rather I'm doing something wrong.
The opacity option you provided in the link is the best. But the shirt texture is only a texture file. I do not see any outline for the short and or the cuffs.
But I still went ahead and created a transparent mask and boy it worked. Although the hole ended up in the stomach side rather than cuff.. lol

So I need to fugure out 2 things
1. how to smoothen the deleted or hidden polygons while in DAZ?
2. How do i find out the shirt map so transparency mask becomes easier and perfect?

SheilaThe downside of the torrents would render the entire efforts of the site admins and moderators useless as we have a points based system. Those files would then be publicly available to anyone. If torrents is to be the way, it will effectively bring me to tears. I like to visit here and its sort of my 3D home now 🙂
I'm sure Mega isn't doing this for free if they have gotten aggressive. It seems mega are picky on what products should be taken down. Lets promote other file sharing hosts. 3DUK, RHub, Rendersoty may have approached MEGA but it would become a hell of a job if they were to contact all the sharing websites instructing them to taken those files down time and again.
It's more of a damage limitation tactic, trying to borrow some time, atleast for a while. Even they know, this strong arming wont last that long, eventually we will find more ways to share the files anyways.Yes torrents would be awesome too. I used to download stuff via torrent sites, until one day they disappeared. I'm totally IN.
@Abad I went through the post and I realised I know little to nothing about 3D programs. Its obvious you come across as someone who knows what they are doing and that you have extensive knowledge of this stuff. I downloaded Blender which is free and then I didn't know what to do from there on. In reality I do simple things in DAZ mostly. Sometimes I do dare to venture into unknown but only just. having said that thank you so much for your post and I am sure I would want to delve more into this. You are a scientist Abad
@windreaver0118 exactly. Adding smoothing feature to the character itself almost dissolved all the facial features (wrinkles, scars etc).To both of you I really dont know some of the terms thats been commonly used like JCM for instance. I mean I might be useing it already but the abbreviation part is a tough nut. I am not stupid but sometimes its hard to remember everything, but then there are days when I am able to crack the code just as easy.

@Kefka Thank you so much. The smoothing modifier trick worked. I thought it only worked on clothes. Wow. That was awesome. I set the iterations to 10 and it dissappeared. The only downer though it also smoothed out some facial features I had added, like wrinkles and scars.

I tried and no change at all.
I just downloaded 3 different browsers and the same.
Maybe its Geo-Restrcited?Is anyone able to access the site. As of now, I still the same message on the main page and unable to proceed any further.
