Congrats @lucafeelgood and @ch1no.
Great job!
August 23, 2021 at 3:24 PM #1723222These are wavefront .obj files, which are meant to be used in all 3D software packages. They won't go into your library unless you convert them to props (which would actually be unnecessary).
Go to File>Import and browse to the folder with the .obj file. I recommend setting the scale to 100%, although it really doesn't matter because you can scale it once you have it in DAZ.
If it comes in textured, you will probably have to use the !Iray Uber Base converter to convert the textures to Iray. If it does not import textured, then the materials will be set to Iray by default (depending on your version of DAZ Studio) and you will need to plug the textures into the appropriate channels in the surfaces tab, such as base, glossiness, bump, etc. Whatever the modeler supplied. If you need more info, Sickleyield provided a really good tutorial about Iray surfaces here:

February 16, 2021 at 12:11 AM #1666866Don’t think of this thread as a contest, but rather a realism-themed gallery. 🙂

Debate all you want, but it needs to be taken to a new thread.

I've been rendering my entry for this comp on my laptop at work for over 24 hours. I came into work this morning expecting to see an image at nearly 5000 iterations and instead saw my "Welcome" screen. Checked the temp folder... not in there.
So I'll be starting over with the rendering process. Just wanted to make sure the contest doesn't close before I can get it done.
August 28, 2020 at 11:28 AM #1623420My second entry:
Sundown for the Sun Worshippers

I normally wouldn't do two entries but my last image is bugging me. I really feel like I phoned it in.
August 26, 2020 at 10:55 AM #1622940Some great entries for this comp! Love the theme, @aftyrbyrn.
Here is my entry:
The Morning Tree

Good luck everyone!
July 24, 2020 at 12:33 PM #1616740I go with Anagord. Although when I use a character, they very rarely "stay in their own skin". A mix of base textures is always part of the workflow.
I'm drawn to the feet. I've been working on some "sand on feet" textures for geoshells and such. In this case, is it postwork or 3D?
