He could also download using Install Manager, can't remember which, but there were 3 updates together with Victoria 8.1.
Unfortunately I haven't downloaded any of those files and can't say anything about their threadlevel, but I doubt that there's a real virus inside. I'd rather guess that the admins at 3d-stuff who are always hunting re-posters created these pics in their investigation. Since they've their own filesevers they can do stuff like conditional downloading depending on the user.
Personally I find these little textures hilarious and really want to have them. Especially after all the crap and complains here about people re-posting stuff from 3d-zone to other sites.
It's hard to believe how this is done... Wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen the account histories now.
All in all, I've no problem with the 25 point solution, it just angered me because I was called Leech and Parasite, and that from one post to the next everyone forgot the main topic and started picking on everyone not posting new items here.
@barcgwcc nope, English isn't my first language, but many of my writing mistakes are coming from a condition that's deteriorating with age. Because I've the same problem when using my native language.@nemain leecher is a technical term with a bit of bad aftertaste, but leeches and parasites is very explicite. And I really miss the term re-posters.
But what I don't get is that the original thread started, pointing at people re-posting items from here on other sites and earning money or other things.
And that the main culprit was supposed to be people with accounts coming here every day to earn 100 points. But the thing is, how many accounts do you need to get all the items from here every day? And are the many accounts selectively purchasing 2 items every day or are they transferring the points to a single account that makes the whole purchase???
I honestly doubt it. Either these guys are sharing purchased items to get enough points to buy the rest of the newly posted items out or they're paying for more points or they are just re-posting items from some sleazy pay-sites.
And if you don't believe me, check out 3d-stuff. Pandora/Kat is the member there with the highest point score and he/she got them all with just re-posting items from the zone on 3d-stuff and the other way around (occasionally). He/She probably purchased a few items in the meantime with Gift Cards he/she got for selling his/her points to other members, but other than that everything she'd doing is leeching on several sites and re-posting items and believe me, he/she wouldn't care even if she'd get zero points for site visits here.
But no, these things are all but forgotten. Nobody here cares anymore if anyone is running a copy site from here or re-posting items, all that is important right now is that those of us that are not sharing new items should suffer, no matter what. Nobody cares for the actual problem.
@barcgwcc first you call people parasites not worth to share 3d-items many hundreds and thousands of people are sharing here, later you call them not worth to share this planet they're born into, later...

Ah yes, and I am pretty sure you're a hypocrite who uses exactly these sites you're talking about to download your items without using your collected points here, at least I couldn't find a single download in your history what seems very strange in the same way downloads here can't be found on mostly all the other high and mighty people here talking down on people leeching points for visiting this site.
And once again, you can't drive a daz3d site with these 100 points per day and things will not change for those people, you guys just fu*ked the little guys often from very poor countries with shitty pcs and shared internet connections that live with maybe $10,- or less per week. Congratulation!

Group1: Blaming a group of people for problems without any proof or decent foundation.
Group2: Defending against Group1... how constructive is that?If you want to be constructive, then get an idea how things work before making things worse for everything without any change to the better. This remembers me on SynfulMindz and how he battled a war against kickass torrentz. It came so far, that he denied people who's ip he'd spottet on torrent to purchase items from his site, what of course was completely stupid because those people often tried to legalize the items they earlier had retrieved from kickass.
I also don't see the point that leechers (the ones that are downloading the content and keeping them to themselves without re-posting them on another site) are hurting the site or slowing down the stream of items getting posted here. I'm watching this and many other sites for almost 4 years now. Since Kickass died down (my user account is younger because my original user account never got approved) and I can't see a trend that there are less and less posts.
I know people are pissed because of this or that and then try to find a scapegoat to put the guilty on but it's not that easy and if you'd make a step back and start to think you'd know too.
Btw. several people here are not sharing on their own for several reasons but are posting through friends or even on those sleazy paysites and watch their items trickle down here through re-posters and such so don't be so sure that you know it all.
As if the guys that come here every day and accumulate their points were the big problem. People who are copying this site every day are in need of tons of points and they are usually getting them by re-sharing items they got from other - often closed premium sites or private sharing stashes.
So many of the great contributors Zemlon might worship for sharing so nicely are exactly the guys that are stealing his stuff in the first place. Because let's be honest you can't copy the stuff posted on this site with 2 downloads / day.
I'd like that the admins would check how many of the points collectors are really downloading the items that have been re-shared or are even downloading items at all. Therefor I doubt that downgrading the visiting points will have much effect...
But hey, there must always be a group of people you can blame for the problems of this world.
