Renew your memebership, it only lasts 1 year at the time. Community -> Membership levels - renew.
February 15, 2021 at 2:12 AM #1666561Well, the weird bit about the threads I checked, they're doesn't seem to be a post from the provider, just the people requesting the item saying it was filled. Which makes it even worse, because you can't know who filled it.
January 24, 2021 at 9:36 AM #1660828It works fine. Fix your browser/internet/DNS.
Another way is to search Google for this particular site

January 15, 2021 at 12:47 PM #1658583And also was missing important improvements. I've had zero issues with 4.14, but then I'm also on the Beta version, since that one actually gets improvements and bugfixes before the stable one.
January 14, 2021 at 3:53 PM #1658369In all theory, 4.14 (and 4.15) should be faster than 4.12 (in pretty much every aspect). So if you're experiencing a lot of slowdowns, something else is amiss, I'd say.
What hardware? Latest drivers? Also, have you done the menu merges and such? As for the environment and tonemapping options, that happens, yes, but that is also why you save edited render settings and reload those after updating.
January 14, 2021 at 10:13 AM #1658302You're free to use DAZ assets to make whatever you want, and post it/sell it/do whatever you want with it, as long as you don't provide the actual 3D mesh. By that, I mean that for you to use DAZ models in say Unity, or similar realtime 3D engines, you need an interactive license, which you can buy separately in the DAZ store.
For regular artwork (renders, images), you do not need any specific license, you can post whatever you want (as long as you follow the rules for whatever site you're posting it on, of course)
December 5, 2020 at 12:51 AM #1647493Well, DAZ is trying, albeit maybe too little, too late, to adapt - however, DAZ "adapting" is mostly bad for customers, as it involves yet another set of shader-sets, and DAZ still haven't done anything with their abysmally bad installers / base backbone, so... yeah.
DAZ is a buggy piece of shit software, relying heavily on asset sales to stay afloat (naturally) - however, the quality of the assets are mostly dwindling, and patches and gaffatape isn't gonna keep the building from collapsing, unfortunately.
The buying of Poser was a bad decision. Poser is dead. Has been for ages, and it won't recover. At least not until they adapt the same position DAZ does, and give the program away for free, and charge for assets. There is literally no reason to use Poser, a program with way less content than DAZ, instead of DAZ.
As for "entry level", there is still nothing as simple as DAZ out there. Any one of the proper 3D programs takes a LOT more effort to learn, to get even close to similar quality output as you can with DAZ.
Where the other programs shine, though, is animation and physics - but DAZ have been trying, and have added quite a bit of neat assets for at least simulating physics and proper effects, and while their animation bits are still leaving a LOT to be desired, it "works", at least for simple animations.
The biggest hurdle DAZ has is their reliance on Iray, and Nvidia cards. It's not a horrible rendering engine, but it's demanding, and it forces you to have decent hardware to achieve anything complicated. Which can ofc be kind of a discrepancy compared to the ease of entry into the DAZ world.
While Poser might go under, hopefully without taking Rendo with it, I think DAZ will stay afloat for some time yet.
November 2, 2020 at 9:37 PM #1639371Fairly certain it's this hair: https://www.daz3d.com/chace-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s-and-genesis-2-female-s with custom shaders (and maybe custom morph)
October 17, 2020 at 7:40 PM #1635810Get the MEGA app. Then set whatever folder you want to set up.
September 10, 2020 at 10:21 AM #1625918Which specific Nvidia driver version are you on, and which specific DAZ version? I'll still tell you to upgrade to Windows 10,though. It'll fix your issues, and you can do an in - place upgrade to keep all your programs and settings.
September 9, 2020 at 3:08 PM #1625730You... Are on Windows 7. *headdesk* slightly crucial info, no? Upgrade to win 10,and your problems go away. Jeezus fuck, win 7 is way beyond EOL, and Windows 10 has been out for over 5 years...
September 9, 2020 at 6:07 AM #1625640Global: your card supports Open CL. There is no doubt about that. What you do have is either a defective card (possible, but not too likely), a defective driver, or a broken Windows installation. Checking Nvidia forums, it might seem that the latter is actually a rather common issue. Worst case, you might need to reinstall windows (from a reputable source, ie direct from MS).
Before doing that, though, you should definitely test doing a DDU in safe mode, and let it wipe the slate clean, before reinstalling the Nvidia driver.
September 9, 2020 at 5:08 AM #1625634Input those in DAZ, click on them, and you get the RGB (0-255) values. Not sure how much simpler it gets than that. I'm sure you could write a converter-program that converts the floating 0.0 to 1.0 to 0 to 255 - haven't tried, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out - you'd need some measurements done to check for consistency, ofc.
September 8, 2020 at 11:40 PM #1625600September 8, 2020 at 10:02 PM #1625584Also, there is absolutely no difference between Studio Driver and Game Ready driver for _functionality_ in DAZ. There has been some performance gains with Studio Driver (potentially), but that isn't 100% certain.
So which one you use is kinda irrelevant.
