April 18, 2020 at 12:03 AM #1570479Hello @iwuvdaz3d and God bless you, thanks so much 🙂
Hope you and yours are all well,
Kind regards,
April 17, 2020 at 12:09 AM #1568875Would need to know more about the rig you are using and how complex the scene is. DS can be a bit twitchy at times, but I have to go out of my way to make it crash, but I do have a decent system.
April 13, 2020 at 1:29 PM #1563399Just to make it easier for people to see :-

From this page :-

And sorry @lednah I don't personally know :/
April 5, 2020 at 8:33 PM #1551401I am not having that problem and as far as I know I have never had it but read this thread here on the zone to see if its a similar thing to what you are having.

March 26, 2020 at 8:27 PM #1534961Guess it all depends how shiny/wet/oily you want the skin to look. That particular one is a bit much for me personally.
I do recall using a wet hair for G3f that also included an option to add a wet look to the skin and it was a nice subtle effect, like water had run down the skin but I am dammed if I can find it now. Thought it was Alice wet hair or Actual wet hair, but it doesn't seem to be the case :/
( https://zonegfx.com/wetfx-decal-shader-kit/ ) can yield some interesting results, and of course you can apply more than one decal and scale them up etc.
A similar effect is here :- ( https://zonegfx.com/genesis-3-females-wet-body-iray/
) rolling water and yes, it will work on G8fMarch 21, 2020 at 2:05 PM #1526462OK, when you alter the texture of a body that is using the new gens for V8, you have to update the material of the new gens. There is an option for this in the new gens folder. There are two actually, but one is for 3delight materials.
Also bear in mind that new gens adds a geo-shell so that you can see the two extra layers, called 'effect layer' and 'colour layer'. By default colour layer is visible. You can tell this by the small eye icon that appears next to it on the scene tab. Try clicking on that eye to turn that layer off.
This geo shell also causes problems with other add ons, such as the lifelike nipple geo-graft that I posted to the zone. Turning the colour layer off when using that product solves the problem. (The new gens shell will overlay or cover the nipple geo-graft, it could be doing the same thing in your case. )
March 20, 2020 at 8:51 PM #1525465We need to know a bit more about what you are using. For example are you using a separate genital figure or simply a morph on the base figure ?
Every 3D object has something called a UV map. This tells the texture for that figure where to be, i.e. it maps the texture correctly onto that figure. If you add the Daz 3D anatomical elements to a figure, you then have to either apply the torso material to the elements by copying the torso surfaces on the surfaces tab, then pasting them onto the gens figure AND then with the anatomical elements figure selected on the scene tab, on the surfaces tab scroll down to where it says ' UV set ' - here you can change it to the correct UV set for the figure. Some vendors include an option to apply the torso material to the Daz 3D gens. But the gens can also use a separate or different UV map created just for it.
Go back to your scene, open the surfaces tab, and see what maps are in use before you apply the overlays.
And let us know if you are using a genital add on,

March 19, 2020 at 2:58 PM #1523325Here on the zone there are a few things to get you started :-
( https://zonegfx.com/i13-k-pop-poses/ )
And if you search the blog for 'Kawaii' you will a lot more 😉
Regards,
And apologies if any of the above are already in that bundle you have,
March 11, 2020 at 11:07 PM #1511823Sorry I am still confused as to why you cannot load it. Did you try the test library option ? That way you can see exactly what is in there. Second you can open DS, open the folder that contains the DSON user file and drag and drop that file into DS. See if that works ?
March 9, 2020 at 1:55 PM #1508308Other than asking Lully where they got it from, none sorry. I am even wondering if its a second skin thing.
March 9, 2020 at 12:08 AM #1507488Not seen any duf file sharing but I imagine it goes on behind the scenes. I am creating a bit of a sleb character and might make her available for others once she is finished, but would probably put her on the blog as a freebie.
March 8, 2020 at 12:28 PM #1506576I am confused, the icon is there to load it, and I just installed it and it works perfectly. Do you mean it is not showing in your smart contents folder ?
Couple of tips by the way, you can post the images here in chat, just choose the img option in the boxes along the top. You still have to upload them to postimage or similar but it will save people waiting for anonymiser. And if you want to link to something on the blog, put the url for it in brackets. That way we only see the url link and not the home page stuff 😉
March 7, 2020 at 10:13 AM #1504889@LivingPixels Must admit I had been lazy and looked at the last page of the thread, hadn't seen the 'rig' details. Just those high numbers for what is a simple scene.
There are a few things people should take into consideration when using an unbiased render engine such as IRay. When you hit render, it sends RAYS out from the light source. These rays will either hit something or not. The computer will have a ray length and number of bounces to calculate for each sample. Consider using a back drop, a plane primitive on end behind your main scene. Don't apply a shiny surface to the backdrop though. Another one acting as a ground can help. Even better consider using an HDRI.
Think about the resolution. If you set the length and width to around 70%, you will roughly halve your render times.
Finally, for now, consider using a one click solution to reduce the quality and thus the length of time it takes to complete a render. Something like ( https://zonegfx.com/modular-lights-render-studio/ ) might be a good start 😉

March 6, 2020 at 10:45 PM #1504151Nothing at that size should take that long to render, but you knew that already. You can turn a few of those values down. Typically my update interval is set at around 5 seconds, max samples is 5000, max time is 7200. Converged can drop to 95 or even 90. You probably don't need spectral rendering turned on either, that can be slower.
And finally for now, are you using just one light and what kind is it ?
